    Boiler Assistant

    Job Description

    • Boiler Assistant will operate Boilers, Air compressors and Ammonia plant to provide steam compressed air and chilled water for optimum operation of the manufacturing and filling operations of the factory. 
    • To observe the existing safety instructions in relation to the operation of the above equipment and as may be advised from time to time.

    A day in the life of a Boiler Assistant:

    • Attend to shift hand over meeting.
    • Check trough Boiler water level.
    • Monitor ash chute for ash blockages.
    • Perform water treatment analysis.
    • Clean Air filters.
    • Clean HFO Filters.
    • De-Ash Boilers.
    • Monitoring Coal level and clean of silo room.
    • Cleaning of Combustion on Boilers and Air heaters.
    • Soot blow Air heater Elements.
    • Record daily water usage.
    • Clean Boiler house, Compressor room, HFO Room, Ammonia Plant and Fire pump house and general Is areas.
    • Clean boiler house drainage.
    • 5S of the boiler house.

    What will make you successful

    • Matric with Maths                                                                                     
    • Minimum 2 years Technical Experience in the boiler operation, utilities / service operation.
