BME Maintenance Lead Trainer - Brits at Bridgestone South Africa (Pty) Ltd

Job Purpose

• The role is responsible for training cells in accordance with the methodology and using B-ME tools. B-ME trainer responsible for the Maintenance Lead training:
• Trains in the Progressive Maintenance (PM) process in the cell and supports the Maintenance Lead  in the elimination of losses related to inspections and failures; He trains in the following processes: Maintenance  Planning & Scheduling (MP&S),  Breakdown Elimination  (BDE), contributing to the elimination of risks related to inspections and failures.
• Trains and supports the Maintenance Lead in topics related to the optimization of stock levels, spare parts and picking.  It supports the Maintenance Lead in disseminating technical knowledge among operators and coordinating work with maintenance activities on machines in the cell.

Responsibilities:

• Downtime Elimination (BDE) Management
• Trains the Maintenance Lead in the following areas:
• Conduct in-depth analysis of failures and implement defined countermeasures
• Disaster data collection system implementations
• Failure recovery processes
• Management of the Maintenance Planning Process (MP&S)Continuous Machine Improvements.
• Trains and supports the Maintenance Lead in the following areas:
• Implementation of the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling process on your machines establishes prevention with the central Maintenance and Planning Department and the head of the given production area.
• Verification and prioritization of  applications within 24 hours of creation
• Planning the execution of maintenance actions in the short, medium, and long term
• Creating and updating review standards
• Improving the technical knowledge of operators

Supports the Maintenance Lead in:

• Training operators in the principles of operation of individual machine elements in order to improve their knowledge and skills to detect defects
• Training operators in the basic technical knowledge needed to perform Autonomous Maintenance work

Elimination of losses.

Supports the Maintenance Lead in:

• DDS meetings to define priorities, tasks, and report results for the last 24 hours. During the meeting, he helps to prepare information for the Maintenance Lead  about failures and actions regarding maintenance of machines in operation.
• Supervising periodic inspections, visual inspection and inspection of machines
• Conducting analyzes and applying for technical and organizational changes aimed at reducing the costs of machine maintenance in the cell

Qualifications:

• Minimum Dip/Degree Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/ or Equivalent  
• Experience:
• 5 years’ experience
• Production, Maintenance/Engineering, Technical Department, Quality Department,
• work in an external company or BSAF, including a year as a leader, shift foreman, specialist, engineer, e.g. TS, QA, EM, IE.
