    Benefits Administrator

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    Retirement Fund

    • Death claim investigations and resolutions (RAC meetings)
    • Trustee meeting attendance (on invitation)
    • Submission and tracking of new entrants and withdrawals
    • Reconciliation of existing members, new entrants and withdrawals
    • Facilitating provident fund home loan applications for eligible employees
    • Reconciliation of provident fund home loans, clearing of arrears and ensuring over deductions are refunded to employee
    • Assisting site and facilitating disability applications
    • Facilitating divorce orders with the fund
    • Assisting site with the submission of funeral claims
    • Preparation of monthly reports to trustees and management
    • Preparation and submission of monthly Nil Contributors report to funds
    • Managing of daily retirement funding queries from employees, Site HR, Payroll and various funds
    • Relationship building between Trustees, Site HR and Payroll
    • Workflow management 48 hours SLA

    Medical Aid Administration

    • Submission and tracking of new entrants, changes and withdrawal
    • Managing of daily medical aid queries from Payroll/Site HR
    • Weekly termination checks
    • Preparing monthly pre-billing reports and comparing to medical aid billing
    • Reviewing and clearing of monthly differences
    • Obtaining forms from the fund and updating the intranet
    • Preparation of monthly reports
    • Preparation, submission and collating of certificates of existence for pensioners on company medical aid
    • Contacting of pensioners with unsuccessful medical aid recalls
    • Workflow management in 48 hour SLA

    Ad hoc Projects

    • Regular updating process documentation to ensure process is streamlined
    • Ad hoc Benefits projects (PRMA, COE, Medical Aid Verification, Nomination Forms etc.)

    Stakeholder Management

    • Presentations to BU’s and site
    • Roadshows
    • Regular feedback to all parties on death claim investigations and resolutions

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • 3 - 5 years work experience in a Benefits role/department
    • Benefits Administration (Death Claim Investigation None Negotiable), Section 37C, Medical Aid & Retirement Fund Administration
    • Stakeholder Management

    Qualifications:

    • Matric/Grade 12

    Additional Requirements:

    • Retirement fund rules and processes
    • SAP HR Module
    • Microsoft Excel
