Assistant Company Secretary and Statutory Liaison – Sandton at Affirmative Portfolios

Summary

• Assist in the facilitation and administration of Company Secretary duties as outlined in the companies act and guided by PFMA regulations
• Provide for the proper recording of minutes in relation to all executive committee and board meetings
• Ensure meetings have quorum and reschedule if required

Qualifications

• Relevant degree / Diploma in Law
• Completed or studying towards Chartered governance institute of South Africa (CGISA) qualification

Experience

• 4 years’ experience in a Secretariat Environment

Meeting management

• Provide for the proper recording of minutes in relation to all executive committee and board meetings
• Ensure the correct registration of Directors
• Assist in recommendation of Directors to the board
• Ensure meetings have quorum and reschedule if required

Compliance with regulations

• Adhere to National Treasury compliance dates
• Requesting information for report to the relevant regulatory bodies

Query referrals

• Attending to queries in relation to Board and Compliance issues
• Processing queries
• Delivering queries to the appropriate person to resolve

Ad hoc duties

• Perform any reasonable task as and when required by the Line Manager
