    Analytics Manager - Johannesburg

    Purpose

    • To design, build and govern the application and implementation of predictive models to enable the business to manage risk and generate revenue Analyse and optimise processes, inform strategic decisions, monitoring implementation of business decisions, recommend enhancements through statistical modelling and data analysis Coach and mentor analysts

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Minimum Qualification - Relevant Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Engineering
    • Preferred Qualification - Relevant Postgraduate
    • Experience - 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior (entry level) management level

    Responsibilities

    • Identify process improvements for Cost Savings, Revenue Generation or Efficiency improvements for the business
    • Develop a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service
    • Deliver exceptional Credit service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
    • Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders
    • Govern the application and implementation of predictive models to enable the business to manage risk
    • Definition, development and maintenance of practice policies, procedures, standards and frameworks to innovatively and effectively manage practices and processes
    • Analyse and optimise processes, inform strategic decisions, monitoring implementation of business decisions, recommend enhancements through statistical modelling and data analysis
    • Design and build predictive models to meet business needs
    • Ensure implementation of modelling processes and drive implementation of innovation within the modelling environment
    • Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies
    • Manage personal development to increase own skills and competencies
