Accountant at Global Voice Group

International organisation operating in the telecommunications industry is looking for an accountant to join their finance team. The role is best suited to someone who is self-motivated and up for a challenge.

Qualifications

• B Comm in Accounting
• SAIPA articles
• 3 years relevant experience (including articles)

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices in line with IFRS for SME’s
• Ability to work logically, consistently and accurately

• Excellent analytical skills
• Hardworking, disciplined and deadline orientated
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good Excel skills (Pivot tables & formulas for e.g. Vlookups)
• Multi-entity accounting
• SAGE 300 ERP (Accpacc) experience advantageous

     Job Description:

• Processing and reviewing captured financial information
• Assist with preparation of monthly revenue invoices
• Multi-currency transactions
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and expense analysis for review
• Review all payments for compliance with company internal policies & procedures
• Submission of VAT returns
• Prepare company and individual tax calculations/schedules and liaise with external tax consultants
• Liaising with company secretary re annual returns / corporate changes
• Assisting auditors during annual audit and ensuring timely wrap-up
• Review of draft annual financial statements for local entities
