Job description
The Estée Lauder Companies’ Marketing Internship program runs for 6 months. Interns will be based at our company offices in Kyalami. The internship will consist of meaningful brand marketing, sales, education and communication work experience and participation in various projects, tasks and assignments.
Job Description
- Provides support to the ecommerce teams in their day to day operations
- Provides admin support to both online managers & coordinators
- Assist with presentations, reports, calendars, etc.
- Assists and participates in special projects as required
- Assists with copy-editing & QA across multiple brand and retailer ecommerce sites
- Attend and participate in Brand meetings, taking minutes & sharing with all parties
- Assist with couriering documents and products & management of deliveries as required
- Ad-hoc assistance with customer service related tasks
- Participate in brainstorming and digital programs as required
- Co-ordination of meetings as required (diary management, booking meeting rooms etc.)
- Create & load purchase orders as required
- Collections from on-site Distribution Centre
- Compile PR drops, press hampers & general product hampers as needed
- Order follow up
- Stock take & management
- Monitoring and tracking of any online/social media brand mentions
- Management of PR deliveries, monitoring any online PR mentions, and regular contact for delivery addresses etc.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent written command of the English language
- Copy-editing & proof reading skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A passion for skincare, makeup & fragrances is a plus
As a an Online Marketing intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to several of the following areas Online Marketing, eCommerce Management (across both retailer and brand sites), Brand Strategy, Performance Advertising, Digital Visual Merchandising, Sales Operations, Procurement, Brand Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Website Administration, Social Media Management, Community Management, Influencer Relations, Digital Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Paid Media Strategy & Customer Service.
In addition, you will
- Present to senior management at the end of the program
- Network with senior managers and peers
- Attend company presentations and depending on availability retailer strategy meetings
Qualifications
Please note that we are interested in speaking to either
- Undergraduate students who are in their final year of University (Graduating in December 2017-June 2018)
- Recent Graduates (Graduated after December 2015)
- Good academic standing, 70% average or higher
- A strong interest in online marketing & ecommerce, Social Media & Communications.
- Experience with Microsoft office
- Leadership and project management skills demonstrated through participation in extra-curricular activities or previous work experience
- Results-driven; ability to analyse and problem solve
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
