    About The Role

    The Scrum Master will facilitate self-organizing, self-managing scrum teams to achieve their goals, making use of Agile and Scrum practices, working diligently to identify and eliminate impediments. The Scrum Master will also work to motivate the teams to meet commitments, help manage the team’s relationships with outside stakeholders, coordinate with other Scrum teams and facilitate continuous improvement.

    Essential Skills And Experience

    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ working experience with agile development teams;
    • Familiarity with TFS will be beneficial

    Required Qualifications

    • Relevant IT degree or diploma required;
    • Agile certifications such as CSM (Certified Scrum Master); CSP (Certified Scrum Practitioner)

    • Leading and supervising;
    • Working with people;
    • Presenting and communicating information;
    • Applying expertise and technology;
    • Planning and organizing;
    • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations;

    Responsibilities

    • Act as Scrum Master for one to three teams, providing a learning environment to deliver business value and embodying servant leadership;
    • Agile best practices so as to improve velocity, quality and the delivery of committed stories;
    • Tracking and communicating team progress and communicating this to the product owners to assist them in improving the predictability of delivery to business;
    • Assessing the agile maturity of the team and organization, and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. Ensuring the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility;
    • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution or being judged;
    • Facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution;
    • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog;
    • Owns and coordinates all team level agile ceremonies (daily stand up, backlog grooming, retrospectives, etc.) and
