    Manager: Credit Book Monitoring

    Job description

    Purpose of the role

    Contribute to the overall profit of Capitec Bank by optimizing Capitec Bank’s loan instalment collection strategy. Manage credit risk through a monitoring function which ensures that credit policies are correctly implemented, applied & monitored, has the desired impact within the bank and derive useful management insight by analysing credit data and operational intelligence. Responsible for accumulating applicable Employer information to implement applicable Risk limiting measures at loan granting.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
    • A relevant qualification degree e.g. B Comm (Mathematics, Management accounting, Statistics) or B.Eng. (Industrial Engineering or similar)
    • At least 5 years’ proven experience in Credit (preferably Credit management) within a similar environment, including experience in:
    • Drafting business plans, presenting and finalising strategies
    • Business analysis: Design and implementation of processes and procedures
    • Process efficiencies: Draft of idea documents and business specifications
    • Project coordination
    • Proven experience in managing a team within a similar environment

    Knowledge and understanding of:

    • NCA
    • Consumer Credit Lifecycle (granting, collection, treatment & recovery)
    • Reconciliation
    • Communication (verbal & written) in English and Afrikaans
    • Numerical skills
    • Analytical skills
    • Computer literacy (Intermediate MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office)
    • Interpersonal and relationship management
    • Negotiation skills
    • Presentation and Facilitation skills
