We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR professional with a knowledge of finance in the Cape Town office. This person will be responsible for running the local HR and Finance function in the office which has around 60 staff. The HR function is supported from an external HR agency and the Head office in the UK when required. This role also encompasses finance for the Cape Town office with support and guidance from the Finance department in London’s Head Office.
Your primary responsibilities will include the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, compensation, industrial relations, benefits and training and development. Working alongside our Head Office HR department and the Country Manager, you will assist in formulating and implementing HR policies and procedures that meet today’s business needs. This may include recommendations and support in formulating and implementing new HR initiatives and strategies, for example, performance management, attracting and managing talents, driving changes to gain a competitive edge etc. The HR Manager is also responsible for the recruitment and training coordination as and when required.
Your secondary responsibility is for Finance. The responsible person for Finance within the team ensuring payroll is processed promptly, freelance analysts are paid on a timely basis, the annual audit and tax filings are managed effectively. . Occasional support for administration.
To be successful you have some or all of the following qualities HR, Human Reseources, Finance, accountancy, book keeping, administration, employee relations, personnel.
