    Executive: Digital Marketing

    Job description

    Primary Purpose of the Role

    The Executive within the BCX marketing domain will lead a team of individuals who will be responsible for defining the strategy, managing the implementation, digital design and development of digital channels according to market requirements, segment and customer expectations.

    Ultimately this individual needs to position BCX website and digital marketing efforts as best in class in order to drive leads and create a sales pipeline

    Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Function(s) of the Role

    • Strategy, implementation, digital design and development of digital channels
    • Develop, execute and drive the and the BCX digital strategy and its respective components
    • Drive the social media narrative and conversation
    • Create and maintain a digitalised eco-system that will enable digital marketing through social media, digital magazines, websites etc.
    • Accountable for the development and alignment of the digital strategy and road map for the relevant segment portfolios, collaboration between portfolios, business units and product owners
    • Ensure that BCX’s digital presence is geared to ensure BCX Brand, Products, segments, verticals/solutions and PR initiatives are in the digital Spotlight via paid, earned and owned media. Must be able to
    • Facilitate the potential Sales/lead generation of BCX products/solutions and service via digital channels and bearers
    • Utilise the appropriate digital channels to Service BCX’s customer base across multiple segments
    • Participates in brainstorms, strategy and creative sessions, contributing digital/ interactive/new media ideas.
    • Maintain close co-operation and cordial working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
    • Becomes the lead and custodian for Digital Marketing across BCX organisation and especially with EXCO and GroupFinancial (Satisfied Stakeholders)
    • Set and achieve annual / quarterly resource plan, operational and quality targets aligned to the strategic overall objectives
    • Prioritise and plan projects / initiatives to improve cost / NPS
    • Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with business strategy and goals
    • Monitor financial performance continuously against set financial targets, forecast and identify new opportunities for improved performance
    • Proactively implement corrective actions timeously to address deviations from financial targets
    • Manage / oversee timely delivery of key projects within the established cost constraintsPeople
    • Establish and reinforce a culture and way of work which attracts and retains talent / employees and rewards them fairly.
    • Cultivate a culture of teamwork through collaboration, interaction and regular communications with relevant stakeholders.
    • Lead the Telkom Business Connexion way: Motivate and coach the team to deliver against performance targets, develop and enhance team effectiveness for direct reports and area of responsibility.
