Responsibilities:
- Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income for Industry Services, to an agreed annual target of invoiced revenue. Services include:
- Quality assurance and control
- Inspections
- Asset integrity management
- Process safety and risk management
- Engineering and draughting
- Non-destructive testing
- Plant performance optimisation
- Boiler specialist services
- Establish and maintain efficient business development and sales in South Africa.
- Present Industry Services to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails - likely to spend 80% time out of office, interacting with clients.
- Record opportunities and sales activities by reporting it on the sales tools provided.
- Ensure that the sales enquiry process is conducted in a timely manner that meets internal procedures and customer satisfaction.
- Support incoming enquiries, co-ordinate client meetings and contract preparation.
- Prepare scope of work and pricing for quotations.
- Manage the timely production of contracts and progress their status with the business unit.
- Support job closeout processes and implement ongoing client contact strategies.
- Gather and analyze commercial information as to build market intelligence.
- Share information from client visits with Business Unit Manager.
- Create new business leads and organize follow-up activities.
- Present business cases to clients, especially the outsourcing model of value addition.
- Identify cross selling opportunities for the different BV business lines.
- Implement commercial strategy as per Industry Director and BU Manager’s requirements.
- Regularly liaise with Regional Business Development manager to ensure strategic alignment with overall business development effort.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of marketing materials.
Experience and Qualification:
- A technical qualification in one of the industry services, minimum N6 diploma or equivalent. A B.Tech degree would be an advantage
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in delivering industry type services.
- 5 years’ experience in the field of business development or sales.
- Good knowledge of local legislation and regulations.
- Have good networks in different market sectors.
- Contract & tender sourcing process experience.
- Available and willing to travel
