    Instructional Designer (Soft Skills)

    Job description

    Key purpose

    The vacancy is for an Instructional Design role within the Discovery Institute of Training. The role requires the Instructional Designer to develop soft skills training material for the sales force according to high quality standards, the role will also involve constant evaluation of the training cycle and regular updating of material.

    Key outputs

    All work must be done accurately, comprehensively and to an acceptable quality.

    • Consulting with stakeholders in the sales area in order to establish mutually beneficial relationships.
    • Conducting analysis about soft skills in relation to key needs and requirements of the sales area.
    • Developing comprehensive curriculum to cater for the needs of the sales area.
    • Design and develop training material for instructor lead and online learning experiences in line with the curriculum to ensure that learning outcomes are matched.
    • Train and provide guidance to the trainers to ensure that learning outcomes are achieved through effective presentation of material.
    • Maintaining material and ensuring best practice guidelines are followed across the sales areas.
    • Continuous evaluation of both trainers and the effectiveness of training material.
    • Conduct research on new concepts and methodologies which could be incorporated.
    • Develop material based on information and content from any source.

    Experience

    The following qualifications and experience is required:

    • Education & training qualification, specifically design and development.
    • At least two years Instructional Design experience specific to soft skills development.
    • At least two years’ experience in the sales industry.
    • Business related degree/qualifications.
    • Insights Discovery practitioner.
    • Coaching/mentoring qualification.
    • Articulate Storyline development experience.
