Summary
We have mutiple roles open in our Cape Town office in South Africa. The roles are open in Fund Accounting and Client Services department. Below are briefs on teams/departments.
Financial Reporting
The Financial reporting team prepares all components of interim and final accounts and associated monthly reconciliation packs for a variety of funds. It also ensures quality, accuracy and timeliness of taxation reporting.
Fund Accountant
The NAV Production team is responsible for pricing of the funds. They are also responsible for reviewing the production of accurate valuations and associated deliverables to meet client and publication deadlines.
Client Services
Fund Setup Representative (FSR) is responsible for completing all requests pertaining to the fund set up process for the UKMEA region as well as other associated deliverables in order to meet client deadlines.

Develop an in depth understanding of all aspects of the role

Independently perform core tasks per daily/monthly checklists
Develop a good understanding of State Street systems
Work in a manner that produces accurate and timely results

Skills / Knowledge
A very good understanding of accounting principles
A sound understanding of financial markets and financial instruments
A good working knowledge of MS Excel
Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Ability to cope with a steep learning curve and take a proactive approach to learning
Ability to work in a pressurized, deadline-driven environment is essential
