    MANAGER: CORPORATE ADVISORY SERVICES - LEGAL SERVICES (CS 13/17)

    CORPORATE SERVICES LEGAL SERVICES

    MANAGER: CORPORATE ADVISORY SERVICES – LEGAL SERVICES

    TCOE: R986 715 – R1 300 372 PER ANNUM REF NO: CS 13/17 CAPE TOWN

    Requirements:

    • LLB admitted Attorney or admitted Bar Advocate
    • At least 5 years’ experience within a legal environment at a senior advisory and/or a managerial level at a large organisation or government institution
    • Proven local government law, administrative law and civil litigation experience essential,
    • corporate law experience an advantage
    • Knowledge of corporate governance principles (ie King Reports) and Batho Pele principles
    • Sound knowledge of local government legislation, policies and procedures
    • Computer literacy in MS Offi ce and SAP.

    Key performance areas:

    • Providing high level specialist advice and guidance through the application of a superior body of professional knowledge and expertise
    • Specialist level advisory, drafting, negotiating, litigation management and consulting service
    • Coordinating the submission of reports to senior officials and decision-making bodies of the Council and offering specialist skills to advise these bodies
    • Directing and managing the output and quality of work delivered by staff
    • Managing the performance of staff
    • Building and managing sound relations with internal stakeholders.
