    Principal Specialist : Learning and Development

    Job description

    Job Summary

    Responsible to manage the Learning and Development (L&D) function including training and non-training and to facilitate learning and development initiatives in BCX. Evaluate the effectiveness of curricula and non-training solution delivery in multiple formats.

    Primary functions of the role :

    • Lead training delivery function by designing and implementing highly effective, results-driven learning and development strategies
    • Ensure alignment and integration between Training Delivery and HR and Business strategies and initiatives
    • Formulates standardized training programs and development plans to supplement organizational employee development
    • Ensure the Implementation of the Training Delivery plan and strategies and drive execution
    • Ensure delivery of training programs in a variety of mediums
    • Create awareness and educate the HR community, line management and customers on Training Delivery practices, policy, products and tools
    • Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning and development strategies
    • Partner with HR and business leaders to support development needs
    • Determine the need for new training design and create the content with customers
    • Act as primary Skills Development Facilitator and ensure the preparation of various Skills Development Reports

    Required Experience & Qualifications:

    • Human Resources or Educational Diploma/Degree, NQF Level 5/6 or similar
    • 5 – 7 years experience dealing with Learning and Development Issues
