They Need You To

• Track and manage progress in all areas of each release project;
• Receive and process Releases in accordance to the Release Schedule;
• Manage in conjunction with the Release Manager the patching release cycle, taking responsibility for scheduling, progression and arranging implementation of releases;
• Manage the approval process, interfacing and communication with approval stakeholders as necessary;
• Record the outcome of each release, performing a thorough review of the outcome;
• Maintain the Release Schedule, ensuring relevant patching Releases are agreed and scheduled;
• As part of the Release Schedule, provide updates on release numbers and outcomes;
• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations;
• Continually work towards making improvements in the release process;
• Contribute to the Service Integration process for Release Management as and when required;
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews;
• Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans;
• As part of the release undertake impact assessments;
• Liaise with relevant ISP to ensure that adequate IS support is provided pre, during and post implementation;
• Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks;
• Liaise with all necessary parties to manage any failed release instances;
• Contribute to any process or service improvement initiatives; and,
• Support SLAs, KPIs and OPIs for Release Management Services, both customer and internal.

Job Requirements

• For this role, you need an ITIL Foundation qualification, Prince 2 Practitioner certificate, 2 - 6 years' of previous release and/or project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred), and good knowledge of IT platforms, equipment and applications supported within relevant areas.
• It's important that you are financially aware (able to link actions to costs), have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels (fluent in English verbal and written communication), and that you have the ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
• It's important that by nature you take ownership of, and progress escalations to resolution, are committed to client satisfaction and ownership of issues and can multi-task and prioritise effectively.
• A full understanding of Release Management best practices and experience in Administering and Enterprise Service Management are must haves for this position.
