    Job description

    Key performance areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Carrying out various maintenance tasks with minimum, supervision, that include
      • Building and plastering
      • Tiling
      • Painting
      • Plumbing
      • Welding and general maintenance of building
    • Report to and liaise on a regular basis with supervision on services, repairs and routine maintenance to execute.
    • Carry pit routine inspections on factory grounds, offices and facilities.
    • Ensure that the factory grounds and buildings are free from debris.
    • Ensure that safety requirement are met before and during the execution of maintenance tasks.
    • Ensure that administration regarding job cards are duly and accurately executed.
    • Active participation in all Mini –Business related activities.


    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience /skills

    • Minimum Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualifications.
    • Relevant job related experience of 2 years .
    • Must be able to display basic maths, reading and writing skills.
    • Display a wide range of repair and maintenance skills.
    • Technically orientated .
    • Tool handling ability .
    • Relevant technical experience in building maintenance.
    • Should be organized and excellent at repairing basic facility items.

    Job description

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited

    • Effectively and safely drive the pool vehicles to and from customers and or suppliers
    • Ensure that the vehicle inspection check sheet is completed
    • Adhere to traffic rules, regulations and speed limits at all time
    • Ensure that the pool vehicle is driven in the most cost effective manner
    • Supervise the loading and offloading of goods and documents
    • Check that the correct goods and or documents are collected and or delivered
    • Responsible for sufficient delivery of internal mail
    • Perform general administrative duties related to the transport of goods and or documents

    • Must be willing to work after hours if needed

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience /skills

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Valid code 09 or 10 drivers license (PDP will be advantageous)
    • Have proven verbal and written communication skills
    • Display responsible behavior at all times when driving company vehicle

    Manager: Distribution Excellence and Projects

    Job description

    Applications are invited for the above mentioned position based at Distell Southern Africa Stellenbosch. The successful incumbent will report to the Head of Distribution: Centre of Excellence

    Purpose Of This Role

    Ensure a best in class Distribution operation that meets the expectations of cost efficiency and is the benchmark in customer service. In addition, establish a project approach and culture in Distribution to design develop and deploy capability that supports the Distribution strategy and Route to Market objectives. Oversee development of the Risk management strategy whilst providing the technical expertise required to manage all aspects of Distribution infrastructure and equipment.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Strategic Leadership
    • Input into development of the Distribution strategy.
    • Design, Develop and deploy distribution capability to meet Route to Market objectives.
    • Align Regions to Distribution strategy.
    • Development and maintenance of Risk strategy in conjunction with Group risk.
    • Develop an infrastructure and MHE strategy.
    • People Leadership
    • Create and support a high performance culture across own, CoE and broader Distribution team.

    • Implementation and smooth running of the relevant Distell Management Operating Systems (DMOS) projects and initiatives.
    • Risk management support to regions.
    • Resource results
    • Cost efficient National distribution operation, implementing world-class distributions practices.
    • Custodian of Distribution CAPEX requirements for regions – Evaluation and prioritisation of Region request to Capex committee approval.
    • Determine in conjunction with the Commercial team, the correct configuration and location of all Distribution assets.
    • Manage the asset maintenance, replacement and distribution schedule in line with existing established principles.
    • Relationship management
    • Ensure seamless integration with Distribution CoE Commercial team.
    • Supplier identification and management with the assistance of Procurement
    • Custodian of the Owner driver relationship
    • Manage business relationship and SLA performance of Owner driver business managers
    • Productive Internal and external stakeholder relationships
    • Drive BBBEE Enterprise Development Audit

    The Successful Candidate Must Preferably Have The Following Qualifications/experience/skills

    • A suitable tertiary qualification
    • At least 10 years managerial relevant business experience, of which 5 years should be at senior managerial level.
    • Experience on established project management methodology. Project management qualification advantageous.
    • Strategy development.
    • Proven people leadership ability and experience in building a high performance teams and a team player.
    • Excellent business acumen – acute awareness cost management and people efficiency.
    • Experience developing performance metrics, process design and improvement, problem solving techniques, and statistical analysis.
    • Deep analytical skills with an proven ability to interpret financial and statistical data.
    • Experience with conducting Benchmarking and establishing best practice.
    • Transport Management knowledge and experience including relevant legislation.
    • Experienced in Warehouse design, Layout and Flow. Previous experience in managing large scale development projects end to end is

    advantageous.

    • Computer literacy (MS Office &SAP packages).
    • A valid driver’s licence (Code B/BE).
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Demonstrates high EQ in all people engagement.

    Shift Team Leader

    Job description

    Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based in Springs, Gauteng. This person will report to the Unit Manager.

    Key Performance Areas Would Include, But Not Limited To

    • Ensure that product of acceptable quality is produced at all times by applying process control and recording results according to the relevant QC procedures
    • Ensure that causes of quality defects are identified and rectified.
    • Ensure that equipment is operated according to verified procedures, work instructions or SOP’s by suitably qualified/competent personnel
    • Monitor progress against production plan and initiate corrective action/problem solving timeously in order to make the plan for the shift/day
    • Produce cost effectively by allocating required resources effectively, minimize re-work and limit waste
    • Ensure that changeovers, adjustments and settings are performed on equipment as required
    • Support to maintenance department
    • Drive improvement in performance and availability the line
    • Effective utilization of OEE system
    • Initiate corrective action and do problem solving if agreed upon targets for respective KPI’s have not been achieved.
    • Lead team according to Secondary Production Operating Principles to achieve line objectives – Quality; Speed and Cost.
    • Ensure a competent crew by training (on-the-job/formal training) and coaching members
    • Ensure compliance to the QMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, IFS, HACCP, Organic, ISO 17025, SANS 1841) if applicable
    • Assist with compiling budget and forecast for the line
    • Ensure that all unsafe conditions are reported and repaired immediately
    • Actively encourage innovations within the team
    • Actively involved in Problem solving

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

    • Minimum 2 years experience in (high speed) bottling environment
    • Good Technical Background, limiting rework or non-conformance
    • Knowledge of Machinery, minimizing losses and write-offs, improving OEE
    • Previous experience of leading and managing a team.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Operate and maintain all equipment on a line/area according to the relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Able to train and coach personnel.
