    WS 154/23 Senior Professional Officer

    Requirements

    • A relevant BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering or BTech in Mechanical Engineering with five (5) years’ or more post-qualification experience
    • In-depth knowledge of design, project management, compliance verification with construction and environmental regulations
    • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of operations
    • Ability to supervise staff
    • High proficiency in SAP/MS Office packages and knowledge of CAD
    • A valid Code EB driver’s licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Forward planning and keeping abreast with technical developments in design and construction techniques, material engineering, water supply and water treatment processes
    • Providing leading design inputs, assessing design options and preparing designs for bulk water, wastewater and reticulation mechanical infrastructure
    • Mentoring and assisting in productivity, performance and development of technical staff
    • Financial control and determining the required budgets both capital and operating to undertake designs and project implementation

    Requirements

    Requirements

    Requirements

    • A minimum of a National diploma plus relevant certification

    Key Performance Areas

    • Define and deploy the project management methodology to all IT related projects within the Directorate
