    Quality Manager - Isipingo

    You will be responsible for:

    • Ensuring that Diageo SA and is compliant to local legislation and/or equivalent Diageo codes of practice.
    • Facilitating and advising on the integration of Quality Systems into each relevant department
    • Ensuring Quality KPI’s are available and up to date for reporting purposes and accountability for the internal auditing process.
    • Partnering the Risk Manager with the Formalizing of the SHE Agenda
    • Leading the compliance program with third party partners and key suppliers/customers.
    • Improving Service Levels in respect quality Assurance Program with Internal Customers as well as developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality culture.
    • The role is also accountable to ensure the protection of Diageo Brands, Ensuring Brand Equity
    • Providing leadership in successful management of operational and business risks.
    • Ensuring compliance to the relevant local regulatory acts and legislation, compliance to Trade and Metrology act (quantity compliance); and compliance to the Liquor Products Act and the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectant Act.
    • Driving Supplier Quality Systems and monitoring their ability to conform and comply to Company requirements.
    • Drive capability development of staff in the Quality Team

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Tertiary Qualification, preferably in a technical field and a Lead Auditor/Assessor Certification with at least 5 years management experience in a multi-discipline food manufacturing or Quality environment
    • Sound knowledge of the Food Safety legislation of SA such as FSSC 22000 and additional requirements ISO 9001:2000, SANS 10330, License to Operate and Legislative Requirements.
    • Strong Functional/Technical Knowledge in the areas of Quality Management and Auditing, Hygiene and Food Safety (HACCP), Food Defence / Security, Food Microbiology / Chemistry and Production process and associated risks
    • Proven ability in the implementation, maintenance and administration of management systems which will minimize Quality and food safety risks.

    • Lead the quarterly business prioritisation with the rolling 24 month plan. Lead the Review Stage and Gate process progress for ONE plan initiatives, analysing performance at a total level. Full accountability to drive consensus on Demand Plan opportunities, risks and decisions on gap closing actions.

    Lead the Brilliant Execution Process

    • Lead the Brilliant Execution process that enable Diageo to deliver insight based plans that respond to the channel, trade, and portfolio strategies to deliver the Diageo AOP. Be the Expert at the Brilliant Execution process and lead the strategy of the sales cycle planning process. Full accountability to sign off all M&E with baseline financials with clear insights for future investment decisions.

    • Commercial Graduate Degree Qualification – Business Related

    Head of Supply Chain Finance

    Purpose:

    • To lead and develop the members of the Supply Finance team.
    • To be the key business partner to the Supply Chain Director and the supply leadership team relating to finance.
    • To lead and develop the strategic focus on supply chain breakthrough opportunities and initiatives across supply, distribution and procurement.
    • Ownership of the controls and compliance agenda as it relates to the supply finance function and support the entire supply function with respect to controls and compliance. Play a key role in ensuring that all governance, controls and compliance for the supply of products are in place and operating.
    • Lead the understanding, analysis and insights generation relating to all COGs.
    • Develop and maintain a close relationship with the operational and financial management of the supply centres. Understand issues and financial implications affecting Diageo costs and also to own and manage any financial interaction with them (transfer prices, claims, true-up’s etc).
    • To provide rigour to the strategic decision making process through business partnership and intelligent application of established tools
    • Drive continuous improvement in supply finance reporting and controls within the business by implementing global and local initiatives to ensure we have executional and risk management excellence

    Top accountabilities:

    • Lead and manage end to end financial planning and business performance reporting of Cost of GOODS for South Africa. Ensuring robust analytical modelling, cost allocation and insight in order to deliver our COGS ambition in the business and forecasts accuracy
    • Key role in ensuring that Supply finance has embedded a strong control environment within the Supply Chain processes and that we have the right controls and process in place to be CARM satisfactory and address inherent risks within this space.
    • Business partnering with Supply Chain and accountable for finance decision support to the Supply Chain function in order to drive value adding decisions and deliver operating margin improvements to the business. E.g. Productivity Initiatives, Innovation and Tramlining, CAPEX
    • Lead and manage the finance transformation agenda for Supply finance ensuring that we deliver the continuous improvements agenda within Diageo South Africa in Controls and Reporting
    • Actively participate and lead the overall finance function agenda. Play a key role in developing the team and supporting the finance strategy in South Africa
