    Clothing Area Manager - Western Cape

    Job Advert Summary

    Oversees the execution of the store standards, human resources, promotional execution and finance, Admin, maintenance of clothing stores. Monitors the execution of standards, promotions in clothing departments within Corporate Stores.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (matric)/N3 equivalent/Clothing degree
    • 5 - 8 years Clothing Retail Senior Store management experience – Must have relieved in a Area Manager capacity or currently/previously overseeing more than one Clothing store.
    • Must be computer literate
    • SAP knowledge is an added advantage
    • Drivers Licence (extensive local travelling)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Conduct monthly coordinators checklist
    • Monitors merchandise standards
    • Monitors staff appearance
    • Monitors back up areas
    • Monitors new lines available and merchandise according to dispatch guidelines
    • Monitor total range display
    • Monitors store/department housekeeping standards
    • Ensures new stores merchandised according to layouts in time for opening
    • Monitors customer service standards adhered to
    • Identifies staff training needs and coaches staff
    • Communicates expected standards and processes to Manager/staff
    • Provides on the job knowledge skills and expertise to Managers/staff/supervisors
    • Approves store kronos schedules
    • Monitors store overtime costs

    (Strat) Planner - General Merchandise

    Job Advert Summary

    To provide and manage a sales plan and product plan in order to meet financial targets, sales budgets, Return on Investment, Gross Profit and Gross Margin.

    Minimum Requirements

    • University degree, preferably numerical degree
    • Knowledge of Merchandise SAP and EP systems or similar ERP advantageous
    • Thorough knowledge of long lead-time procurement

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • To complete seasonal budgets with the planning manager based on history and trends.
    • Prepare seasonal strategy document to develop the merchandise assortment plan and submit the merchandise budget plans for approval.
    • Responsible for pulling histories into the DPP/Seasonal Assortment Plans.
    • Monitoring weekly stock management (OTB’s).
    • Review outstanding purchases to active DPP – article groups and make recommendations on stock.
    • To action monthly vendor re-projections on programs by re-projecting unit sales and unit buys.
    • Responsible for all unit buy projections including local vendors, imports and SOS buys.
    • Analyse monthly strike rates and communicate to buyer.
    • Manage over and under stocked lines and request vendors to uplift stock where applicable.
    • Monthly analyse of obsolete and discontinued stock.
    • To manage stock into the DC.
    • Responsible for projecting sales for promotions.
    • Keep abreast of POS and manage all markdowns.

    Demand Planner - General Merchandise Division

    Job Advert Summary

    To facilitate the delivery of the correct stock level timeously at site / article level with time spend around 60% Analytics and 40% Demand planning. Levels of operational involvement varies between different areas within the Planning team.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BCOM Degree is advantageous
    • SAP experience is advantageous
    • 2–3 years of retail experience        
    • 1-2 years relevant planning experience
    • Strong Analytical and Advanced Excel skills                                      
    • SQL & ACCESS experience advantageous

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Analyses flow of stock to spot trends, make deductions and generate solution
    • Source, analyse and integrate multiple data soruces, processes and information in problem solving and conclusion generation
    • Highlights incomplete set up to relevant stakeholders
    • Actions daily checks on master data new items, re-instated items ,status changes
    • Sets and maintains new vendor and new store set -up for replenishment
    • Sets and maintains forecast for new sites and vendors across articles – New articles delivered to sites
