    Strategic Information Analyst (Mid-Level)

    The SI Analyst collaborates with the enterprise solutions team to map data processes, plan indicator calculations/query logic, and to manage interface between data visualization tools with SQL and REDCap databases. The SI Analyst collaborates with program teams, technical advisors, and the public health team to identify performance insights and improve programme data and performance.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    Reporting

    • Compile and submit funder and stakeholder reports as per process and by the stipulated deadlines.
    • Compile and submit internal reports as per process and by the stipulated deadlines. 

    Data Visualization

    • Develop reports and dashboards for a variety of stakeholders, using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
    • Collaborate with the enterprise solutions team to link visualizations to data sources and develop appropriate query logic for programme indicators (SQL, REDCap, etc).
    • Participate in the set-up of the data and reporting platform as required. 

    Analysis

    • Interpret reports to identify programmatic strengths and weaknesses.
    • Communicate effectively with programme team and public health team to improve data quality and program performance. 

    Quality improvement & Capacity Development

    • Data process mapping: support data processes including input on data collection tools, data flows, Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Upskilling: Train users to use reports and dashboards.
    • QI: Participate in programme quality improvement processes.
    • Cross-skilling: Learn how to compile all reports that are produced by the team and be willing to transfer knowledge as required. 

    Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Data Science, Health Sciences, Engineering, Business Management or Business Information.
    • 2-5 years’ experience building dashboards and analyses with business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc).
    • Programming experience will be an added advantage. 

    Skills, competencies, and attributes:

    • Advanced Excel and PowerBI Skills
    • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Word
    • Basic SQL coding skills
    • Meticulous, detail-orientated and possess advanced analytical skills.
    • Ability to organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information.
    • Passionate about excellent service delivery.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Deadline-driven and good at self-management.

    Human Resources Business Partner (Contract Post)

    The successful candidate will be required to provide generalist human resource services in all areas of HR and projects in the district office. The successful incumbent will support the HR Manager in developing and implementing HR initiatives focused on achieving business objectives and improving the effectiveness of the HR department.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive and holistic HR services to the HR Manager and programme on all aspects of HR from recruitment, Performance Management, Employee Relations etc.
    • Ensure effective implementation of all HR processes through effective business partnering
    • Ensure staffing levels are maintained by managing the recruitment of junior and middle management positions in the portfolio
    • Initiate employee engagement activities such as wellness/ Heritage days
    • Support the performance management processes within Anova
    • Partner with line managers and staff to achieve business objectives
    • Facilitate induction of new employees
    • Generate weekly and monthly HR reports as required

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • A Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following disciplines: Human Resources, Employee/Labour Relations and Industrial Psychology or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience of which 3 years must have been as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist covering all broad aspects of Human resources
    • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve HR related problems
    • Knowledge and experience working with BCEA, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act and Labour Law
    • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation
    • Highly organised & detail oriented
    • Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Proficiency in MS Office
