    Regional Executive: Retail Affluent SanlamConnect Intermediaries Gauteng South

    What will you do?

    Undertake strategic leadership

    • Analyse market changes, competitors, risks, opportunities and threats and create contingency plans for these in order to protect and grow market share
    • Be overall accountable for the profitability and success of the region with respect to strategic attainment of business plans, decision making, operations, sales, compliance and customer service
    • Understand the overarching Retail Affluent strategy and vision in order to co-create (with RGM and regional Manco) an aligned national strategy across the intermediated business
    • Lead a culture of high performance within the region through present and courageous leadership

    Strategically drive the execution the regional sales strategy through sales management

    • In conjunction with the RGM, communicate the national intermediary strategy at a regional level and work with the regional MANCO to formulate the regional business plan By working closely with the RGM ensure that there is a sound understanding of how the different channels need to work collaboratively to achieve the strategy and that processes and communication within the region and between teams support this.
    • Ensure RGM generate tactically aligned plans within the sales teams to effectively penetrate new and existing markets within the region
    • Get regular feedback and updates from RGM/Regional Manco on sales performance against target. Report these back to SanlamConnect Sales EXCO/GM: Intermediary Business

    Undertake the regional ambassador role

    • Be the face of the region (Cross Channel), an ambassador for clients, stakeholders and intermediaries in the region (relationship building, events, recognition conferences, networking, opening doors, influencing etc)
    • Positioning of Sanlam as a brand and business on provincial level in the market with key public and private market stakeholders
    • Develop and maintain regional business partnerships within the financial services community (including competitor liaison when required)
    • Identify & engage high impact intermediary opportunities
    • Host events and functions that drive recognition
    • Forge close relationships and influence with Product Houses and key Head Office functions on behalf of the region in order to partner with the region for support and collaboration

    Be accountable for the regional expense budgets and profitability
    The RE has strategic accountability and oversight of budget and expense management as well profitability
    Be accountable for risk management and compliance within the region (including Key Individual)
    Work closely with RGM and Compliance Officer/managers to ensure accountability for;

    • Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all relevant regulatory and legislative laws/rules/ frameworks applicable to doing business compliantly.
    • Be able to adapt quickly to changes to remain competitive and compliant
    • Drive ongoing awareness and education of compliance within the region
    • Knowledge, accountability and ability to be accredited for and undertake the 16 duties of a Key Individual (KI) requirements for the region .

    Identify areas of risk within the region and ensure there are appropriate management processes, monitoring, reporting and corrective actions in place to minimize or eliminate these.
    Drive change and business innovation within the region

    • Identify areas within the regional operation that need to be made more effective, cost efficient or client centered; and create actions and projects to improve these through innovation.
    • Encourage and reward staff for business innovation ideas that save costs, increase value add or make processes more effective. Create a culture of innovation within the region.

    • Sound Financial Services experience at an executive/senior level within the corporate environment. Sales and Intermediary exposure. (10-15 years)

    CX Product Designer

    The Product Designer will play an active part in CX multi-disciplinary teams to deliver design in production from initial UX wireframing, to high fidelity screen specifications. Acting as a connection between the CX strategy and CX design teams, this role is vital in defining and guiding key strategic aims and business requirements with the end goal of translating these into designs that meet both business goals and customer expectations.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Interpreting briefs research insights, business requirements, and understanding of technical limitations to inform the creation of product design specifications

    Project Management Administrator

    What will you do?

    Responsible for the provision of support and guidance on project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques to programme managers, project managers and their teams. Support includes the use of project management software, the development, production and maintenance of plans (including time, resource, cost and exception plans), the tracking and reporting of progress and performance of one or more ICT projects (including those performed by third parties under contract), the maintenance of programme and/or project files, the analysis of performance and the maintenance of metric data and estimating models, and the administration of project change control, including use of configuration management systems.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Provide administration support to Project Managers and Project teams which includes; minute-taking, diary management, meeting scheduling and preparation.
    • Execute on the SGT PMO continuous improvement plan by compiling updates on project reports.
    • Optimal usage of PPO and other SGT PMO Toolsets across all agreed functionalities and features. Including updating issue, risk and dependency logs.
    • Effective Stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycle.
    • Continuous collaboration with SGT Towers and Clients
    • Adhere to SGT Service Management procedures and protocol and to Project Management governance as agreed by Steerco or relevant Project Forum.
    • Project budget and Financial management: Track project budget, Reports, Projections, Invoicing, query resolution
    • Ensure accurate Time Management of project resources.
    • Handle Hardware Software and Stationery requests on the project. Qualification

    Experience:

    3 years experience in formal project administration (IT software development projects beneficial)

    Training Consultant: RA: SanlamConnect: Succession Fin Planning (Lynnwood)

    As part of SanlamConnect, Succession Financial Planning (SFP) is a financial services provider with a focus on the Registered Financial Adviser (RFA), looking to grow a professional practice while offering holistic financial planning to their clients. SFP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Sanlam Group. What will you do?
    This is a specialist role, responsible for delivery of training (presenting sales, legal technical, skills and product category- related programmes and short courses) to SFP Intermediaries (Brokers and Advisers) and sales and support staff of SFP.

    Pre-course training administration

    • Support training assistants to deliver on training, scheduling, materials, logistical arrangements etc.
    • Ensure that pre-course on-line assessments are undertaken and passed by all delegates prior to attending the course

    Facilitation of training and development programmes

    • Facilitate trends-based training for individuals on a one-on-one basis
    • Facilitate training in the online practice management and client financial needs analysis tool
    • Training on navigation of SanPort, SanFin: Practice Management, Data mining & Communications, Saving Documents, E-Sign, Client Capturing/Basic Capturing & FNA Risk, FNA Investment and Retirement, Reports interpretation and ROA, SFP Web RoA and DRA, GetQuote and other SFP tools
    • Facilitate various in-house training workshops including selling skills in a professional and effective manner
    • Undertake ad-hoc presentations at conferences and seminars as requested by management and clients
    • Coordinate, arrange and conduct regular CPD events
    • Ad hoc training on regulatory updates and changes
    • Manage the supervision process, including the supervisor assessment and ensuring supervisees are supervised adequately.

    Training assessment and feedback/report writing

    • Aligned to service level agreements in place:

    o Administer and score learner assessments in the workshops to determine the proficiency levels of delegates.
    o Complete a feedback report on each delegate after the workshop and share it with the relevant line manager
    Training material/content development

    • Work closely with the project sponsors, heads of business units and training developers to undertake the research and development of training material
    • Structure and write training material according to adult learning principles and in competency-based formats

    Training queries and projects

    • Respond to regional queries from the business relating to training
    • Serve as part of project teams, as required

    Specific role requirements

    • Must be willing to travel
    • Must have a valid Code 08 driver’s license

    Qualification and experience

    • Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning qualification

    • 2-3 years previous experience in providing financial advice to clients or in managing Financial Advisors
