    Specialist - IT Networks

    Role purpose

    To engage and provide support and architectural guidance and second level critical support with aggressive and complex enterprise level services and applications as a Networking subject matter experienced professional.
    Escalation support and deep dive technical analysis on design, architecture, and maintaining the organisation’s network services within IT Data Centres and Corporate offices countrywide will be part of your primary role.
    Your key purpose is to ensure stability and availability of the Enterprise IT Network Infrastructure and related supporting services to delivering on business objectives without the compromise on security.

    Your responsibilities will include

     

    • Monitor, supports and maintains the network to ensure its day-to-day stability and availability.
    • Identify current network risks and implement innovative solutions to optimise, remediate and/or mitigate.
    • Provide support to internal BU infrastructure teams during fault-finding and trouble shooting.
    • Provide research and assessment of new technologies as well as customer needs.
    • Provide Architectural Guidance on routing and switching.
    • Development and maintain all documentation relating to architecture, configurations, interfaces, and reports i.e., Inventory Management and Knowledge Base documentation including HLD’s, LLD’s & SoW’s.
    • Proactively improve infrastructure, reducing operational costs and complexities.
    • Provides 2nd Tier technical escalation support to the 1st Line Helpdesk and assess technology security risk periodically.
    • Plan, design and build the Enterprise core network. Conduct functionality and gap analyses to determine the extent to which key business areas and infrastructure comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Evaluate and recommend new product technologies.
    • Provide support to Technical Product development team to develop Enterprise products.

    Technical / Professional Qualifications:

    • Degree/diploma essential in IT or relevant field
    • 3-5+ years working experience in the Information Technology industry supporting Cisco Technologies

    • Extensive knowledge in managing a global network (WAN & LAN).
    • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in design, architecture and maintaining an organizations network infrastructure.
    • Extensive knowledge and hands on experience of Layer2 and Layer3 networks, high availability, redundancy, and interoperability between different vendors.

    Role purpose

    Responsible for coordination of segment creation, and operational support associated with segment management. Develop the understanding of the SME market and the solutions which cater to these customers, through engagements with numerous departments.     Your responsibilities will include

     

    • Contribute to the articulation of SME segment, and customer journeys for solutions for this segment.

    Specialist System Support

    Role purpose

     

    • The ERP operations specialist is responsible for the delivery and support of robust and scalable solutions. The incumbent's responsibilities:
    • Manage operational support of existing Oracle Fusion-based JMS as well as REST-based API interfaces between local systems and the Vodafone SAP ERP platform
    • Collaborate with multiple support teams to
    • Perform root-cause analysis on serious or persistent integration issues
    • Support the technical teams to enable them to design the required solutions
    • Test and implement permanent solutions to the above issues – monitor solution post-implementation
    • Validate that upgrades and new feature deliveries are deployed as per schedule
    • Validate that monitoring and alerting practices are implemented to enable better support
    • Participate in customer service configuration and scaling
    • Ensure continuous service uptime and availability
    • Manage all integration testing requirements for all EVO interfaces. Address and remediate any testing issues experienced – environment, data, users etc.
    • Manage resourcing and environment support requirements with the OSS & BSS EVO Fusion teams for all testing and new project requirements
    • Support project management activities to develop new EVO integrations – predominantly REST-based API integrations
    • Support infrastructure-related projects including SPDA processes, zoning projects and server hardening requirements
    • Perform all project-administration activities for the abovementioned projects
    • Support cloud-based system and integration transition projects
    • Support and implement continuous improvement activities within the department and division
    • Manage all server patch maintenance cycles, security vulnerability mitigation and all reporting of assigned servers – including vendor engagement, reporting and escalations

    • Manage the support of EVO interfaces – both JMS and API based, including issue resolution, mitigation, root-cause analysis and solution deployment

    • Perform project management support actions on new integration development projects

    Specialist: RPO

    Role purpose

    Manage network performance, site planning and optimisation, and resolve customer queries.

    Your responsibilities will include

     

    • Responsible for Radio Network Planning, Motivations and RF design solutions, integration and post implementation verification of 2G/3G/4G/5G sites, (Greenfield, Rooftops, IBS, Small Cell, CEs, and Special Events).
    • Manage all customer related queries until resolved. Supporting Customer Care, VIP Escalations, PM, Property and EBU/CBU departments.
    • Conduct drive/walk tests, provide analysis and implement solutions on major routes, centres as well as customer queries.
    • Provide ad-hoc network planning reports to requesting internal parties. Ensure planning tool and databases are accurate at all times.

    Specialist Service Delivery

    Role purpose

    Escalations, problem management, measurement and reporting, Monitoring and on-duty shift support services. OPCO Support, SLA Management, OLA Management, WAR ROOM Co-ordination, Relationship Management

    Your responsibilities will include

     

    • To liaise with internal and external support teams toward fault resolution in order to meet SLAs & OLAs
    • Supervise and provide support to the T1 teams, Support other areas of the business and Opco’s.
    • To monitor and measure quality of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management processes. (Continually evaluate and improve existing FM processes and systems)

    Specialist: Technical Data Analyst

    Role purpose

    The role of the Specialist: Technical Data Analyst is responsible to understand business requirements and business priorities by conducting functional analysis of business processes, technical requirements and to lead the realisation of the BI technical delivery. This role shall serve the purpose of a Technical Analyst within the Agile scrum delivery process to communicate the requirements to the team

    Your responsibilities will include

     

    • Seek out relevant information to evaluate and analyse end user requirements through interviews, user research, forums, other data and information;
    • Document and present analysis findings/outcomes;
