Purpose of the job:

• To maintain the overall effectiveness of equipment and plant on site. Includes electrical and mechanical support.

Responsibilities:

• Technical support and troubleshooting according to maintenance schedule at Bakery.
• Responsible for the preventive Plant maintenance of Bakery.
• Provide on the job training to Apprentices and ensure that all apprentices are skilled in accordance with training.
• Ensure that plant and system upgrades are performed in accordance with project plan.
• Conduct system maintenance in accordance with stipulated plant checks.

• Matric
• Relevant Trade qualification
• Registered Artisan (Dept. of Labour) (Red Seal)

Experience Requirements    
Experience:

• 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant trade
• 3 years’ experience in Baking Environment

Responsibilities:

• Tasks include, amongst others:
• Responsible for the vehicle.
• Day to day inspection of the vehicle and reporting of all faults and serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
• Completing vehicle inspection sheet and refuelling of vehicles
• Loading and off-loading various foods products including pallets
• Keep the truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
• Ensure adherence to the Road Traffic Act and ensure the safety of other road users
• Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act,
• Abide by company policies and the regulations of the road.
• Ensuring the vehicles are loaded correctly as well as checking documentation against the loads
• Ensure that correct quantities and loads are delivered
• Ensure all proof of deliveries are signed on delivery as well (POD’s, etc)
• Navigate your way around Gauteng and surrounding areas
• Maintaining company vehicle in a good condition /good housekeeping
• Qualification Requirements    
• Minimum level of education / Grade 12 certificate
• Valid, unendorsed Code 14 driver’s license with valid PrDP

Experience Requirements    

• 5-10 years driving experience preferably on a Scania, M Benz and MAN vehicle
• Clean driving record
• Clean criminal record
• Communication skills – Verbal and written
• Good reading and writing skills
• Must be medically fit
• Hands on and practical approach to the job
