    Handyman - GRES Care - Johannesburg

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • To carry out timeous and quality planned, preventive and emergency maintenance on all specified equipment

    MAIN OUTPUTS

    • Perform tasks in accordance to job cards (work orders) issued and retrieved from Archibus, as per Client and Company requirements
    • Conduct investigations, evaluation and restorations on identified equipment malfunction
    • Carry out minor repairs and service on all electricalequipment and appliances as per SLA
    • Perform office movement related tasks, including but not limited to, installation of furniture; shop fitting, repair doors, locks, handles, windows; replace ceiling and carpet tiles; general paint work
    • Carry out minor repairs and service on all plumbing related equipment as per SLA
    • Perform tier 1 inspections and repairs on all air-con related equipment
    • Carry out inspections and report back on all fire & access equipment; fire-extinguishers, hose reels, fire-hydrants, fire-detectors & access control equipment
    • Assist the Artisan with major repairs and services
    • Provide constant feedback to the Facilities Manager/Service Manager/Building Manager /Resource Co-ordinator on restoration status of operations
    • Update the calls in the Archibus CAFM system and close calls within SLA
    • Oversee and manage daily tasks of cleaners, recyclers and hygiene staff
    • Undertake all monthly PPM checklist and update CAFM system

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
    The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

    • N3 Technical (Electrical/Mechanical)
    • Matric (Senior Certificate)
    • Valid SA Drivers License
    • 3yrs relevant experience in Handyman maintenance tasks
    • Basic training on hand tools, electrical and mechanical equipment
    • Computer literate, MS Office, Outlook, Archibus
    • Knowledge of OHS Act & ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

    Operations Executive - Midrand

    Job Summary:

    • The Operations Executive, you will be responsible for executing and managing the daily operations of a specific contract. The Executive will takes full accountability to ensure that all strategic, critical & other facilities as defined by the Customer meet business as well as contractual needs. Takes full accountability to develop the operating model (people, process, system) to the level where service can be delivered effectively and economically.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Finance:

    • Ensure strategies, mechanisms and guidelines are developed that would govern the development & maintenance of short, medium and long term capex budgets for the associated contracts
    • Develop FM operational budget (short & medium term) and ensure compliance thereto
    • Contribute to the financial budgeting process, ensuring that operational costs are managed effectively.

    Customer:

    • Engage with different customer groups on a senior level to determine the associated business plan & requirements
    • Interpret customer business plan into FM requirements and ensure customer satisfaction to at least agreed levels
    • Determine the impact of their requirements on existing SLA's and applicable agreements
    • Monitor and maintain the company's quality of service, continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience.

    Operations:

    • Ensure strategies, mechanisms and guidelines are developed to understand the general business environment the customer operates in
    • Devise communication & change management strategies to ensure implementation of culture and strategies
    • Define key performance areas & ensure the development of KPI's and contract compliance activities
    • Engage with service providers in developing their service delivery strategies
    • Define the broad contract requirements & principles for supplier contracts (together with Supply Chain)
    • Ensure service strategies, mechanisms and guidelines are developed to ensure service delivery to the required quality and safety standards as well as in an environmental responsible manner.

    Growth & Development:

    • Determine the appropriate & desired strategy & culture required to meet the customer requirements
    • Devise strategies to educate customer on the customer specific contract

    People 

    • Lead cross-functional projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business
    • Effectively manage and motivate a team of professionals, providing training programs and encouraging personal and professional development.

    Governance:

    • Ensure strategies, mechanisms & guidelines exist to identify the applicable statutory guidelines and compliance
    • Ensure required customer policies are identified and developed
    • Adherence to Integrated Management System (IMS)
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the organization.
    • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement, developing and implementing action plans to achieve desired outcomes.

    Minimum requirements:

    • Degree or B-Tech in Engineering / FM Qualification / Management degree (EDP, MBA or MBL advantageous)
    • At least 15 years relevant working experience, 8yrs FM & maintenance engineering experience. 8yrs Senior Management experience.
    • Experience in CRM & Property Management, Facilities Management, General Building Maintenance, People Management, Supply Chain, Procurement (especially Strategic Sourcing), Negotiation Skills, Commercial, Contract & Vendor Management, General knowledge in Finance, Law & Auditing
    • Matric (Senior Certificate)
    • Valid SA Drivers’ License
      MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP knowledge
      OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership and organisational skills, must have managed large facilities management operations with a narrow span of control

    Operations Manager - Pretoria

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • To implement and manage an integrated Facilities Management solution for Clients within the region of responsibility in accordance with the SLA. 

    MAIN OUTPUTS

    • Responsible for driving integrated Facilities Management (FM) services and strategy for the Client
    • Ensure delivery of efficient FM service as outlined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
    • Implementation of an effective HSE, Quality & Risk Management system in conjunction with the Contracts Manager, and in accordance to Client needs
    • Conduct daily audits on FM services rendered and ensure that prescribed work quality and standards are sustained
    • Ensure timeous sign-off and variance explanations on P&L's
    • Identify gaps and deficiencies in services, advise and effect solutions as part of Continuous Improvement on FM services rendered

    Principal Engineer - Cape Town

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Principal Engineer to oversee and manage all reactive, preventative, active and planned maintenance including asset life cycle and continuously work on the improvement of service quality, rationalisation of services, efficiencies and effectiveness of maintenance strategies and repairs, manage the operations employees, budget etc.
