    Head of Operations - National Airline

    Job description

    Basic Salary: $70k+

    Location: South Africa

    The Client

    Mackenzie Stuart are working with an National Airline who require an Head of Operations based in South Africa.

    The Role

    • Operational, Administration & Financial Responsibilities
    • Responsible for a number of Stations
    • Focus on: Problem Analysis, Action Planning & Implementation
    • Work as a part of an international leadership function and work as one company, but also ensure best fit/best practice and best performance
    • Engage with Ground Handling Agents at stations and Central Department

    The Requirements

    • Must be a South African Resident
    • 5+ years of relevant business experience required
    • Experience In Airline Operations REQUIRED
    • Must have a passion for leading and influencing teams, improving processes and identifying new solutions that drive innovation and revenue by providing value to the customer
    • Experience managing teams in a dynamic environment and demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire and lead management and front line employees
    • Strong Analytical And Problem Solving Skills Required
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills required
    • Evidence of proven success in previous roles required

    Chief Operating Officer - Leading Ground Handler

    Job description

    Basic Salary: $70,000

    Location: Johannesburg

    The Client

    Mackenzie Stuart are working with an International Ground Handling Company who require a Chief Operating Officer for their South African Operations.

    The Role

    • Full P&L Management
    • Full Responsibility for 6-7 Airport Operations
    • Work as a part of an national leadership function and work as one company, but also ensure best fit/best practice and best performance
    • Responsible for the development of annual budget and operational spend to budgeted amounts
    • Provide customer service in sales and operational areas
    • Leads development of Operations Department policies and procedures, to include the operations, maintenance and training manuals and applicable sections of the Operations specifications
    • Engage with Ground Handling Agents at stations and Central Cargo Department.
    • Maintain close relationships and follow entire process from transfer of cargo to delivery.
    • Leadership of staff
    • Full Responsibility of Departmental Operations in extended region

    The Requirements

    • Successful Applicant MUST BE South African Resident/National
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in AIRLINES & GROUND HANDLING OPERATIONS
    • EE Candidates preffered
    • Understanding of IATA/TACT regulations and impact upon sales.
    • Must have a passion for leading and influencing teams, improving processes and identifying new solutions that drive innovation and revenue by providing value to the customer
    • Experience managing teams in a dynamic environment and demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire and lead management and frontline employees
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills required.
