    Data Analyst

    Key Purpose of the role

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis of data , generate reports, automation of reports and processes.

    Job Category

    The successful individual will be required to but not limited to the following key outputs:

    • Data coordinating and analysis on information retrieved / received.
    • Create and maintain reports that are required by various parties.
    • Ensuring quality of delivery.
    • Assisting with compiling and maintenance of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
    • Assisting with adhoc reports for relevant teams.
    • Production queries and month end reporting
    • Processing and monitoring of Linkages

    • Tertiary qualification.
    • Stats / Math’s / Computer Science an advantage.

    • Minimum 2 years work experience in similar role.
    • Statistical analysis ability.

    Speech Analytics Specialist

    Key purpose

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for Analysis and reporting of Call Centre interactions through Speech Analytics tools within Discovery.  Define and scope projects. Build, Analyse and deliver  solutions in Nexidia.

    Key Outputs

    The successful individual will be required to but not limited to the following key outputs:

    • Build queries on Nexidia to drive analytics on call centre interactions
    • Test query effectiveness.
    • Build reports and dashboards on Nexidia to frame analysis of call centre interactions
    • Draw data from systems and do analysis on information retrieved
    • Ad hoc reporting on information retrieved and analysed
    • Create regular information reports to be presented to management.
    • Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting function

    Personal attributes and skills

    The successful candidate will be required to display the key competencies:

    • Structured call listening
    • Using software for data analysis – Excel, SQL etc
    • Communicating with senior stakeolders
    • Facilitating meetings and workshops
    • Analysis, Judgment and problem solving skills essential

    • Using raw MI to deliver business process and performance improvement.
    • Tertiary qualification
    • Stats / Maths / Computer Science Advantage
    • BSC Computer Science / IT- Degree Advantage
    • Proficient in Excel, SQL, Access and Powerpoint,
    • Minimum 2 years work experience in similar role
    • Experience with Speech analytics tools – advantageous.

    Claims Assessor Specialist

    Key Purpose

    • The role contributes to the organisational goals by assessing, validating and finalising of all Life Cover, Serious Illness Cover, Income Protection Cover, Disability Cover claimsaccording to the policy terms and condition whilst still adhering to service level agreements and maintaining high service standards.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

    The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:

    • Assess and decide on validity of claims submitted.
    • Medical and financial assessing of Protection claims.
    • Assessing the contract validity of a claim.
    • Identifying possible fraud, non-disclosure, misrepresentation and pre-existing conditions.
    • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to reach claim decision.
    • Provide input into product development and system enhancements
    • Complaint resolution
    • Coaching of administrators

    Education and Experience:

    Education

    • Matric/Grade 12 is essential
    • A minimum of 5 years prior experience within a claims environment in the life insurance industry is essential.
    • COP (Certificate of Proficiency) in life insurance would be advantageous.
    • Medical degree or diploma would be advantageous.

    Knowledge:

    • Microsoft Office skills, i.e. Outlook, Excel and Word are mandatory.
    • Extensive knowledge of the Life Insurance Industry.
    • Experience within the UK Life Claims environment would be advantageous.
    • An advanced level of understanding of Medical conditions and diagnoses
    • An advanced level of Communication Skills (verbal & written)
    • An intermediate level of conflict handling
