We Have The Below Vacancy Available In Our Organisation

The H Band Project Leader role is based within Technology, Central Region.

The role of the Project Leader is to ensure regional Transmission and RadioAccess Network projects are completed according to set schedules and within budget by liaising with different role players, applying sound project management principles and reporting on progress.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• To manage all aspects of Transmission and Radio Access Network roll-out and upgrade projects
• To liaisewith different role players (planning, maintenance, installations, property, central project management and other regions, stores, etc) to ensure projects are completed according to set schedules and within budget.
• To conduct weekly contractor and supplier project team meetings to ensure progress of projects to schedule and set requirements.
• To request purchase orders to ensure that projects are completed as per the set roll-out schedules, within the set budget and up to Vodacom quality standards.
• To enter into price negotiations with proposed suppliers to ensure that all projects are completed within budget and ensuring a cost saving on Capex expenditure.
• To compile a scope of work anda bill of materials for individual projects in accordance to company policies and procedures as well as set standards in the industry.
• To conduct the financial acceptance of projects and ensuring that all was done in accordance with quotes and requests provided as well as to set company standards.
• To ensuredata integrity on all databases in order to track progress on projects as well as to report monthly on all aspects within the Project management environment (Local PO’s, foreign PO’s, stats, values, etc.)
• To assist in the Radio Capex budget planning- and control process.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• GSM, UMTS, LTE and Transmission general knowledge
• 3 years' experiencein managing projects (essential);
• 1 year experience in business management / finance / budget control (desirable);
• Cellular or Transmission Telecommunications experience (essential)

Education

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Relevant Technical Qualification (e.g. engineering) - Degree/Diploma/T3/S4/N6 National Diploma (essential)
• Certificate in Project Management(desirable);
• Certificate / diploma in Business Managementor Logistics (desirable);
• Drivers Licence Code 08 (essential)

In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have an in depth knowledge and understanding of Basic Office Computer Skills , Information Management , Risk Management , Scoping of Projects, Advanced Excel, Project Management, GSM, UMTS, LTE and Transmission general knowledge, Asset-management systems, Reporting, Finance, Policies and procedures.

The base location for this role is Bloemfontein, Unipark building.

Job description

Role purpose: To analyse network performance, do site planning and optimisation

Key accountabilities and decision ownership [max 5]:

• Responsible for planning of 2G/3G/LTE sites (indoor, greenfield, rooftops, mini’s, macros...etc)
• Ensure optimal performance on network quality by monitoring the network statistics through the relevant tools
• Pro-actively analyse and recommend capacity dimensioning requirements on RAN/UTRNA/ETRAN
• Pro-actively analyse and verify in-depth network problems by performing traces at Node B, RND and ATM level
• Investigate and rectify all network failures received from regular drive testing routes both internally and also by outsourcing company (e.g. ATIO)
• Investigate and rectify all network quality faults received from network quality, network performance, CIC, management and the NMC

• Conduct cluster optimisation of new site and first order neighbours (TLTS, Azimutus, heights)
• Responsible for new site integration in terms of optimisation, performance checks and announcements
