    Process Section Supervisor

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to supervise processes and teams within sections of the production area to ensure that operational parameters are maintained, and production targets are achieved according to the outlined production requirements whilst adhering to Health & Safety standards

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Attend shift handover to obtain previous shift information and schedule shift resources accordingly.
    • Perform visual inspections of the work area to identify problems and report to the Shift Supervisor.
    • Monitor production according to shift targets
    • Supervise and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
    • Provide maintenance support to the Engineering department.
    • Identify causes of spillage in the plant and generate suggestions to minimize the spillage.
    • Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency
    • Report breakdowns to the Shift Supervisor
    • Investigate and attend to visible process related maintenance problems, e.g., replacement of screens, idlers etc. where engineering is not required.
    • Issue clearance and safe work permits for all operational tasks conducted within responsible sections.
    • Conduct and supervise plant operational tasks within responsible sections

    Qualification Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • National Certificate Mineral Processing Level 2 or equivalent Minerals Processing qualification
    • Valid driver’s licence code B, EB or C1

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Process / Plant Operator, preferably within the hydrometallurgical mineral processing industry
    • Computer Literate in MS Office
    • Froth flotation process operational experience would be advantageous.
    • English language proficiency
    • Time management skills
    • Supervisory skills
    • Knowledgeable in the requirements of the MHSA

    Process Shift Supervisor

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the effective Supervision of the required shift to ensure that shift processes are operational, controlled and maintained

    Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Investigate, diagnose problems and breakdowns to determine resource requirements
    • Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and analyse previous shift information
    • Co-ordinate and monitor equipment availability to ensure adherence to production parameters.
    • Report equipment efficiencies according to the production requirements
    • Communicate equipment availabilities and changes to relevant stakeholder to minimize production delays
    • Attend to breakdowns immediately to minimize down time
    • Ensure the adherence to the specified process parameters within the respective sections
    • Identify causes of spillage in the plant equipment and generate a suggestion to eliminate the spillage
    • Ensure adherence to Process Standards and Procedures, COP Master File, SHEQ and legislative requirements as expected from a 2.9.2 appointee.
    • Continuously monitor production information to ensure the attainment of Shift objectives
    • Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability
    • Stockpile management to maximum production

    Qualification Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • National Certificate Mineral Processing Level 2 or equivalent Mineral Processing qualification will be advantageous

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Process Section Supervisor with 2 years DMS experience.
    • Solid:Liquid separation techniques including belt filter experience will be advantageous.

    Stores Controller

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to supervise the Stores activities to ensure issuing and receiving of goods and stock control according to Client requests and Minopex procedures

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Inventory Control:

    • Supervise the stores processes to ensure maximum accuracy and accountability according to organisational standards
    • Arrange and conduct regular cycle counts according to Company policy and sound stock control procedures
    • Planning, scheduling and preparation for annual stock counts
    • Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform / recommend appropriate action
    • Investigate and resolve inventory related queries (goods / quality discrepancies, warranties and guarantees) to ensure availability of stock
    • Maintain the binning and labelling of stock items to ensure efficient stock control and identification
    • Ensure correct allocation, storage and stacking of stock items according to product requirements and sound storing practises e.g. storage of hazardous materials and the display of Materials Safety Data Sheet
    • Attend to queries on goods received and resolve discrepancies according to Supply Chain procedures
    • Monitor re-order points on a daily basis and raise requisitions to ensure continuous availability of stock
    • Print various reports in relation to stock control processes e.g. exception reports, stock reports, availability reports
    • Analyse, comment and make recommendations when necessary
    • Expedite outstanding /overdue items
    • Control month end procedures of Receiving / Issuing sections
    • Ensure stores housekeeping in accordance with group policies and standards.

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Grade 12 

    Experience & Skills Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in issuing, receiving and stock control in the mining / mineral processing or related industries
    • Knowledge of Stores processes and Inventory Management
    • Computer literate in MS Office
    • Supervisory skills
