    Analyst Developer

    What will you do?

    • Working mainly within the Web application environment. Design, code, test, debug and corrects programs.  Provide support, maintenance and enhancements of applications.  Produces complex program specifications and implements system enhancements.  Works within a strict framework of programming standards and may give input into programming standards. 

    Outputs / Core Tasks

    • Analysis of change requests received
    • Provide recommendations and cost / man-day estimates for implementing changes
    • Design prototypes for change requests
    • Design/Build Web Interfaces if applicable
    • Maintain existing programmes according to change requests
    • Produce appropriate software programs that satisfy the specifications 
    • Test own programs / artefacts
    • Test Interfaces to other systems
    • Provide test information to Testers
    • Implement changes into the Production environment
    • Updates of data model documentation
    • Technical support / assistance to others on own programs / systems
    • Provide standby / support (if and when applicable)

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • An Appropriate IT Qualification (Diploma/Degree) will be a strong recommendation

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within application development
    • Experience in designing solutions

    Experience in working with the following:

    •  .Net C#
    • ASP.Net MVC / Web Forms
    • Classic ASP (VBScript)
    • HTML (including HTML5)
    • CSS (including CSS3)
    • JavaScript / JavaScript frameworks (e.g. AngularJS, Knockout, jQuery) 
    • MS SQL server (2012+) and SQL Reporting Services
    • Web Services (WCF / REST)
    • XML / JSON
    • Test-Driven Development
    • ORM (Entity Framework & NHibernate)

    Provincial Market Development Specialist

    What will you do?

    • Maintains regular contact with key accounts by calling and negotiating prices, promotions and/or services. Agrees terms and conditions of trade with key accounts. Maintains an excellent communication link with distributors/major chain stores, meeting with them and Head office regularly. Controls and pays out rebates. Produces quarterly review and submits regular reports to management. Ensures distributors /key accounts have latest price lists at all times.

    Digital Marketing Data Analyst

    What will you do?

    We are looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to support our Marketing team, with a strong focus on Digital. 

    • Your responsibilities will include tracking online marketing trends, collecting  and analyzing data (online and offline), developing campaign strategies, optimizing and  reporting online campaign performance, and communicating with internal stakeholders.
    • To be successful as a marketing data analyst, you should have strong technical skills, thorough digital marketing acumen, and be able to present actionable insights to inform  marketing strategies. A top-notch marketing data analyst should also have excellent  analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and work well within a team.

    Key responsibilities: 

    • Develop, update and maintain digital insights reports such as events dashboard, social media dashboard, GA reporting, etc.
    • Automate the data gathering process for reporting.
    • Provide campaign performance tracking and insights to offer recommendations, highlights / lowlights, learnings, etc. 
    • From post campaign analysis / performance tracking, perform deep dives on highlights / lowlights - e.g. which kind of posts are more engaging, who these posts appeal to, which platform offers better engagements on specific posts, etc.
    • Ad-hoc analysis from Marketing team based on trends picked up in reports, dashboards, etc.
    • Competitor Analysis as part of researching what the market is doing and what the audiences are interested in.
    • Market research, keeping on top of latest trends and developments in digital marketing and analytics.
    • Visibility / involvement in campaigns, even as observer, to keep abreast of what campaigns / activities are happening and upcoming in the team to later be able to generate insights.
    • Keep abreast of what is happening in broader Sanlam Investments Marketing team to be able to know what to look out for while compiling reports and analysis that could be insightful and relevant to the team, where possible.
    • Compile and publish a quarterly report tracking all campaigns / communications / events, etc. that took place, their performance, wins / losses, comparison to activity in previous quarter and previous year  to show movements, if any, in performance. Also offer insights of what's happening in market and how Sanlam Investments compares.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Minimum requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
    • Experience with analytical and reporting tools, including PowerBI, Google Analytics, and Data Studio.
    • Deep knowledge of digital marketing across social, display, and programmatic platforms.
    • Strong ability to interrogate CRM data sheets and format accordingly for necessary platforms.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
    • Strong experience in data hygiene processes, and data analysis.
    • Ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Agency experience would be an advantage.
    • Financial Services experience is essential.
    • Data experience in Financial Services distribution would be an advantage.
    • Advanced excel.
    • Self-starter.
