MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
- To deliver safe, quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
- Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
- Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
- Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence
- Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged
Required Education
- ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Enrolled Nurse Certificate
- DESIRED EDUCATION: For specialised wards, CPD courses in specific speciality area

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year post qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit

- To attend to site based emergency calls and provide medical care in line with scope of practice.
- Appointment for this position is subject to successful completion of physical fitness and medical assessment
KEY RESPONSIBLITY AREAS
- Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls

- Provide professional emergency services to site based clients

Required Education
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
- Critical Care Assistant (CCA) or National diploma in emergency medical or Diploma Emergency Medical Care.
DESIRED EDUCATION
- Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

- Newly qualified ALS with operational EMS experience
