    Embroidery Machine Operator

    Job Description

    • We have an exciting opportunity at Barron for an Embroidery Machine Operator who will report to the Floor Supervisor. This position is based at our offices in Westlake, Modderfontein, Gauteng.


     Job Purpose:

    • The purpose of an Embroidery machine operator is to brand company products according to customer requirements by threading and loading designs onto the machine.

     Job Objectives

    Brand garments according to client request

    • Interpret job card and brand products according to customer requirements by using different branding methods.

    Quality Control

    • Responsible for the quality of the branded product by running samples and verifying if it meets the required standard. 

    Housekeeping

    • Apply basic housekeeping principles to ensure that the workstation is tidy.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 12 (Essential)
    • 2-3 years’ experience as Machine Operator in branding industry

    Production Planner

    Job Purpose:

    • The purpose of the Production Planner is to integrate the production schedules across the factory into one master production plan and allocate jobs to machines according to machine standards.

    Job Objectives:

    • Responsible for the effective planning of production according to the availability and standards of machines
    • Issue daily production plan
    • Receive and integrate production plans per area into one master plan
    • Responsible for developing and issuing daily plan to production areas through integrating production data and identifying shift requirements
    • Communicate any deviations from the plan with the relevant stakeholders by updating production report daily
    • Prepare plan for the next shift as well as the shift the next day

    Qualifications:

    • NQF 3 – Production Planning
    • LEAN Six Sigma – Green Belt

    Experience:

    • 3-5 years Production Planner
    • 3-5 Gifting, Apparel, Signage or Branding industry

    Scanner Controller

    Job Purpose

    The purpose of a Scanner Controller is to ensure proper administration of RF scanners.

     

    Job Objectives:

    • Scanner controllers to ensure that all issue and return processes are being followed.
    • Controller to manage high volumes of staff receiving and or returning scanners.
    • Ensure all scanners issued have been inspected prior to issue.
    • Ensure all scanners that are being returned are inspected and defects to be reported and documented, failure to this will be the liability of the scanner controller on duty.
    • Ensure only designated staff are issued with scanners.
    • Outstanding scanner audit to be completed 15 minutes before shift ends.
    • All audits to be submitted to management and must be handed over to the next shift.
    • Ensure scanners are placed in their designated areas.
    • Ensure sufficient amount of spare batteries have been charged.
    • Only a staff member that has been issued with a scanner can obtain a replacement battery.
    • Upon issuing a replacement battery, ensure that the staff member hands in his or her original battery.
    • Ensure all scanners (Old Scanner) issued to security are documented.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 11 or equivalent
