    Assistant Accountant - VKB Milling, Mokopane

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will form part of the inventory and costing department within the maize division of VKB Milling.

    Requirements

    • Relevant BCom degree with Accountancy or comparable accounting qualification
    • Completed Articles (SAIPA/ SAICA) will be advantageous
    • Applicable experience in a fast-moving operational environment
    • Experience in a processing environment within the financial function will be advantageous
    • Excellent computer skills and the ability to work with Excel on an advanced level
    • Experience on Microsoft Navision or Business Central will serve as recommendation

    Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Assisting with stock take facilitating and administration
    • Compiling reconciliations of control accounts
    • Add hoc inventory and costing relating accounting duties
    • Review/compile production and packing related reconciliations
    • Preparing month-end journals and reconciliation to be approved by the Cost Accountant.
    • Processing of booking fees and related hedge transactions
    • Reporting and analysis
    • Duties and responsibilities may grow and change as the candidate and department grow and change

    Operational Manager: NTK Retail: Limpopo, Modimolle

    Job Description

    Responsible for overall operational management of the NTK Branches in the Limpopo region.  

    Requirements

    • Grade 12/ NQF4
    • 8 - 10 year's proven experience in the management of a Retail branch with preference in the agriculture environment
    • Relevant qualification in Management will serve as recommendation

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure that Financial KPI's are met as agreed upon for the Limpopo region.
    • Optimal management of stock of the Free State's Retail division pertaining to turnover rates, margins and write offs.
    • Analyse monthly reports and give feedback to management regarding write offs.
    • Management and revision of the division's expenses.
    • Preparation and management of the division's budget and capital projects.
    • Ensure that the division complies to VKB's Risk Management policy.
    • Drafting and implementation of the division's strategic goals, together with Management.
    • Effective resolution of customer complaints on a continuous basis.
    • Continuous liaison with internal and external customers to maintain good long term relationships.
    • To coordinate strategic liaison with local farmers and clients to ensure world class service.
    • To identify training needs and allocate relevant interventions within the division.

    Input Trade Marketer - VKB Retail, Vrede Area

    Job Description

    Market business unit with profit motive within the VKB Group though marketing of product groups (seed , fertilizer, animal feeds, animal health, fencing, fuel and packing material).

    Requirements

    • Grade 12/NQF4
    • Tertiary qualification and AVCASA will be advantageous
    • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position
    • Demonstrated record of success as a marketer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Effectively market relevant Inputs within the VKB Area
    • Responsible for growth of business unit above inflation targets
    • Financing of chemicals
    • Attend farmer days to grow network and client base
    • Regular visits to farmers to build and maintain relationships
    • Timeous resolution of customer complaints
    • Continuous communication with internal and external clients to ensure effective completion of orders and administrative work
