Requirements

• B. Bibl/B.LIS or PG Dipl. LIS or B. Inf (Hons)
• At least four years’ public library experience, including supervisory experience
• The ability to speak Afrikaans in this predominantly Afrikaans speaking community will be highly advantageous
• Fully conversant with all aspects of librarianship, in particular the
• principles of collection development, reference work, information retrieval and bibliographic knowledge
• A wide reading background and knowledge of literature in general
• Sound leadership and management abilities

Requirements

• BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering
• Minimum two (2) to five (5) years’ relevant experience indevelopment facilitation and design in the planning, design, and project implementation of new as well as the rehabilitation of existing roads and stormwater infrastructure
• Demonstrable knowledge of roads and stormwater design, project management, contracts, materials, method and methodologies, including infrastructure management
• Experience in the assessment of land use management/development applications to establish conditions of approval for all developments, will be advantageous
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Compile schedules for candidate projects for the provision of roads, structures, stormwater, lane markings, signs, street furniture, parking areas, etc.
• Implement projects for the provision of new and/or upgraded infrastructure for transport, roads and stormwater and spatial planning
• Provide roads and stormwater input and guidance into development approvals
• Facilitate the issuing of wayleaves and permits to service authorities and contractors
• Assist in coordinating the district’s infrastructure implementation plans.

Key Performance Areas

•  Facilitate liaison of the control centre with enterprise asset management, engineering, infrastructure operations personnel and external electricity suppliers/ contractors/ consumers on planned network expansions and equipment maintenance requirements
•  Assess impact of planned power system work on network security and continuity of supply such as conduct load flow studies/simulations/analyses utilising available specialised software and resources to minimise/mitigate impact on loading of remaining equipment
•  Compile power system switching procedures/ programmes for planned power system work detailing operational and safety requirements including applying acquired knowledge of SCADA Systems, network operations and safety considerations
•  Write reports to record research and information collection, share information, formulate conclusions and strategies and make recommendations.
