    Head of Corporate Contracting and Provider Relations

    Key Purpose

    To hold accountability for the corporate provider contracting and provider relations function (including but not limited to Hospitals, Pathologists, Radiologists, Dialysis, Pharmacies).     Key Outputs

    We have a vacancy for a data scientist to work on cutting edge NLP projects. The projects include bespoke sentiment and topic models, as well as the use and fine-tuning of a large language model which will integrate into our CRM system to enrich the ways operations teams engage with complex information, thus enhancing servicing initiatives.

    Front-End Web Designer

    Key Purpose

    The front-end web developer is responsible for implementing visual and interactive elements that users engage with through their web browser when using a web application. The position will be supported by back-end web developers, who are responsible for server-side application logic and integration of the work front-end developers do.

    Combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between UI design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

    Instructional Designer

    KEY PURPOSE
    The vacancy is for a Junior Instructional Designer role within the Discovery Institute of Training. The role requires the Instructional Designer to develop high-quality training material for Discovery products. The role involves content development, constant evaluation of the training cycle and regular updating of material.     Developer (Senior)

    Key Purpose 

    Designs, develops, and implements Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, writes code and performs unit and functional testing of software. Contributes to the overall architecture and standards of the group, acts as an SME and plays a software governance role.

    Developer

    Key Purpose

    Translates the CRS and PRS into executable code without errors. Finds effective software solutions to technical issues. Ensure that the application performs the functions as required by business. Releases source code with zero defects.

    Education and Experience

    • Relevant degree/s, preferably at the Masters level or higher, with a strong analytical or business focus, and a proven record of academic excellence (Actuarial, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance etc.)
    • Client centred – consulting experience with a top tier consulting firm such as McKinsey, Bain, and BCG etc
    • Six to ten years business experience, preferably in a leadership role
    • Extensive business and/or technical experience with a proven track record of innovation, entrepreneurship, delivery and performance.

    Sales Manager: Funeral Cover

    Key Purpose

    • Accountability and leadership of the Discovery Life Funeral Sales Team.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

    • Lead and manage a Funeral Cover sales channel consisting of business consultants and financial advisors.
    • Achievement of sales and quality targets.
    • Ensuring a professional level of interactions with intermediaries and HR contacts.
    • Inductions and leads management, ensuring that campaigns and leads are correctly managed
    • Ongoing liaison and relationship building with various stakeholders.
    • MIS Reporting, create and maintain reporting
    • Business processes and operational improvement
    • Promote a positive and proactive approach to compliance and risk,
    • Ability to proactively manage change.
    • To work as a team player within a team environment, participating willingly and providing support and guidance to colleagues at all times

    KI responsibilities may include but not limited to

    • A KI is responsible for management and oversight of the FSPs activities relating to rendering of financial services, which includes advice and/or intermediary services.must monitor that the statutory obligation of the FSP are complied with.

    • Ensure that representatives are compliant with the fit and proper requirements.
    1. Representatives complete all required training for their role.

    • Monitor representatives under supervision:
    1. To ensure that all the required fit and proper requirements are complied with (Qualification and PST),
    2. where monitoring of representatives under supervision is delegated, the following should be done:
    • record the process of delegation and the reporting frequency monitoring done.
    • Instil a culture of treating customers fairly in all aspects of the business.
    • Ensure that there are business processes and operational ability.

    • NQF Level 5 and Regulatory Exams compulsory
