    Power Systems Studies Engineer (Principal, Senior or Mid Level)

    Role Responsibilities

    • Support, and manage dynamic system modeling information and studies
    • Perform and lead a range of studies including: Grid Code compliance, Grid impact Study, Transmission planning studies, insulation coordination, switching studies, power quality studies, EMTP Studies, transient and dynamic performance studies, small signal analysis and forensic studies
    • Developing and recommending best practices for the conduct of system impact analysis (including electromagnetic transient analysis) of new renewable technologies, such as inverter-based generation, including wind, solar, and storage technologies.
    • Present recommendations regarding system modeling issues and results to ISOs and Utilities.
    • Develop and recommend best practices for power systems studies.
    • Compile and Evaluate technical reports, engineering calculations and provide independent review for clients.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Degree in Electrical Engineering is required with a preference for specialization in power systems studies
    • Professional Registration with ECSA would be an advantage
    • Experience interacting with stakeholders
    • Minimum of 3 to 8 years of relevant experience
    • Highly proficient user of EMT simulation software and commonly used network simulation software (Eg. PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory , ETAP, EMTDC/PSCAD).
    • Working knowledge of the following Software (PSLF, ASPEN, DSATools, Powerworld, and EMTP RV) would be an advantage
    • Working knowledge of PLEXOS will be an advantage
    • Working Experience in performing a range of studies including: Grid Code compliance, Grid impact Study, Transmission planning studies, insulation coordination, switching studies, power quality studies, EMTP Studies, transient and dynamic performance studies, small signal analysis and forensic studies

    Senior C&I Engineer

    Role responsibilities

    • Ensure that all discipline documentation is prepared, circulated, approved, transmitted and filed in accordance with procedures.
    • Engineering design in accordance with established design standards and criteria for the project, including:
    • Checking and approval of finished drawings for full compliance with the intent of the design, specification and quality requirements all in accordance with drawing check lists.
    • Approve drawings in the capacity of Professional Engineer when required.
    • Revision co-ordination across disciplines and control by means of clear instruction to design team and approval of such revisions in accordance with change procedures.
    • Checking and approval of contractor furnished designs.
    • Pre-selection of equipment types to suit the project and final selection of actual equipment to be used, following the bid evaluation process.
    • Preparation of the technical content of enquiry documentation typically including a scope description, technical specification, drawings, datasheets and Bills of Quantity (BOQ)
    • Generate and maintain equipment schedules, BOQ, Material Take Offs (MTO's) and monitoring against control budgets.
    • Handling of site queries and providing site support as necessary.
    • Compile commissioning, operating and maintenance manuals.
    • Audits, inspections, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing.
    • On site commissioning activities as required.
    • Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies as required

    Minimum requirements

    • BSc/MSc , or BEng/MEng in Electrical/Mechatronic/Computer Electrical or Electronic Engineering
    • Minimum of 10 or more years' experience as a Control, and Instrumentation Design Engineer.
    • Control, and Instrumentation work relating to mining, including feasibility studies, basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, tender evaluation, construction quality assurance and commissioning.
    • ECSA Registered

    Communication Management Consultant

    A core function of this job would be to support a full project cycle, which includes researching a problem, forming a problem statement, developing an accompanying strategy and action plan to solve the client’s business need, implement each recommendation and measuring the impact of the interventions.

    Role Responsibilities

    • In this position, you will join our Business Communication team where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that engage differently with our clients across all types of Zutari projects.
    • You will need to be able to contribute to strategy development sessions and bring a system thinking view to the projects and solution development sessions.
    • As a junior consultant your focus will mainly be on the development and execution of project tasks and deliverables.
    • With our clients stretching across the country, you will need to travel as and when needed to complete onsite work.
    • You will also need to be able to closely monitor project schedules, and action plans to ensure projects and their deliverables are completed on time and in budget.
    • At the end of each month, you will assist the Senior Consultant in developing monthly project update reports.
    • You will closely work with a Senior Consultant on projects, ensuring that the project outcomes are reached and delivered

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Management or relating fields. Honour’s degree will be an advantage.
    • Minimum of 2 - 4 years working experience in the communication industry.
    • Knowledge of internal communication, external communication, operational communication, employee engagement, intercultural communication, change management and marketing required.
    • Proven track record of client work and relationship building activities.
    • Additional experience in facilitation, research projects and report writing. Public relation and social media knowledge and experience an advantage.
    • A membership at an industry body like the IABC, PRISA or IAP2 or similar will be preferred.
