    Consultant - International Tax and Transfer Pricing

    Job Summary:

    • SNG Grant Thornton is seeking a skilled Transfer Pricing and International Tax Consultant to join our dynamic Tax Advisory Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized tax advice and planning services, focusing on transfer pricing, international tax compliance, and cross-border tax strategies. This role requires an understanding of international tax laws, transfer pricing regulations, and the ability to work closely with multinational clients to optimize their global tax position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Transfer Pricing:
      • Develop and implement transfer pricing policies and strategies.
      • Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation in compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., OECD guidelines, BEPS).
      • Conduct benchmarking studies and financial analyses to support transfer pricing positions.
    • International Tax Planning and Compliance:
      • Advise on international tax structures and cross-border transactions.
      • Analyze the impact of international tax laws, treaties, and regulations on client operations.
      • Monitor and advise on changes in international tax laws and their implications for clients.
    • Client Management:
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored tax solutions.
      • Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to clients and other stakeholders.
      • Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.
    • Collaboration and Teamwork:
      • Work closely with other members of the tax advisory team, including cross-functional teams, to deliver comprehensive tax services.
      • Participate in internal training and development programs to stay current with industry developments.
    • Research and Development:
      • Conduct research on emerging international tax issues and trends.
      • Contribute to thought leadership materials, such as articles and presentations, on transfer pricing and international tax topics.

    Qualifications:

    • Accounting/Legal/Economics degree - post graduate tax qualification (preferred)

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in transfer pricing and international tax, preferably within a professional services firm or corporate tax department.
    • In-depth knowledge of OECD transfer pricing guidelines, BEPS action plans, and relevant local regulations.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide practical tax solutions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-specialists.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Review composition of audit teams.

    • Complete manager’s performance evaluation and discuss with the engagement partner.
    • Mentoring of staff.
    • Identify client needs requiring additional services and bring these to the attention of the engagement director.
    • Billing and collection of invoices with respect to your portfolio.
    • Review and approve all leave applications of your mentees.
    • Assist with marketing projects e.g. graduate recruitment, other marketing initiatives
