    Engineering Superintendent

    The incumbent in this role will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of the maintenance plan in areas of responsibility, focusing on safety the selection, development, support and optimal utilization of people and adherence to systems and procedures.

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Implementing and managing maintenance plans for areas of responsibility and communicating monthly and weekly maintenance targets; and monitoring and offering technical guidance to Supervisors to ensure the safe delivery of targets.
    • Managing resource capability, allocation, utilisation and driving the delivery of targets and equipment availability.
    • Measuring the performance of Foremen, providing guidance and coaching through the implementation of good standards and best practice.
    • Ensuring adherence to Legislation, Policies, Procedures, Standards and Operating Procedures in areas of responsibility.
    • Engaging relevant stakeholders to solve operational problems in areas of responsibility as necessary.
    • Ensuring that daily performance monitoring and interventions are in place to support and correct performance in areas of responsibility.

    About you:

    To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications And Experience

    • N6 Certificate with engineering subjects and valid Trade Certificate (Fitter/Diesel Mechanic/Electrician/Instrumentation) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Engineering Supervisor; OR
    • A relevant tertiary qualification and completion of the Graduate Development Programme.
    • Dragline, Drill, Electrical Reticulation, LDV & MDV experience.

    Technical Business Analyst

    The incumbent in this role is responsible for assisting with mine planning, scheduling, costing and financial evaluation of life of mine plans of both operations and projects including ad-hoc financial investigations and technical assignments.

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Evaluating and analysing business processes, cost and revenue drivers
    • Building ad-hoc models to assist EXCO in decision making on business options.
    • Conducting, reviewing, and analysing Life of Mine Plans to maximise the profitability and sustainability of the business.
    • Identifying business improvement opportunities.
    • Conducting project studies.

    About you:

    To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 3 Year relevant tertiary qualification.
    • Business Qualification will be advantageous.

    Minimum Experience

    • 7 years in the Mining/Technical environment of which 3 years should be in a D-upper role.
    • Advanced computer software skills.
    • Advanced financial modelling skills.
    • Knowledge of financial evaluation for life of mine planning purposes.
    • Knowledge of mine planning and financial drivers.
    • Experience in a coal mining environment.

    Production Superintendent – Coaling/Dragline

    The incumbent in this role is responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of the coaling/dragline section, focusing on the areas of safety and production, through the selection, development, support and optimal utilisation of people and equipment.

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Implementing and managing resource plans for areas of responsibility and communicating monthly and weekly production targets; and monitoring and offering technical guidance to Supervisors to ensure the safe delivery of production targets.
    • Managing resource capability, allocation, utilisation and driving productivity to deliver the targets.
    • Measuring the performance of Supervisors, providing guidance and coaching through the implementation of good standards and best practice.
    • Ensuring adherence to Legislation, Policies, Procedures, Standards and Operating Procedures in areas of responsibility.
    • Engaging relevant stakeholders to solve operational problems in areas of responsibility as necessary.
    • Tracking previous blast performance and changes in geological conditions when designing drilling plans together with the Mining Engineer and signing off on the plans.
    • Accepting drilling areas from other mining teams.
    • Ensuring that the correct drilling plans are uploaded.
    • Overseeing and ensuring that drill preparations and block standards are correct.
    • Measuring and reporting on actual drillings versus planned to the Mining Engineer (depth and location) and reporting on any deviations such as breakthrough holes and re-drills.
    • Inspecting the block and ensuring that it is in order for blasting and formally handing over to the blasting team.

    About you:

    To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications And Experience

    • Either a Grade 12, Surface Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines and a minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Production Supervisor Level; OR
    • A relevant tertiary qualification, Surface Blasting Certificate and a minimum of 2 years’ experience at a Production Supervisor Level.
    • Driver’s license Code EB (08)

    • Ability to apply practical skills and common sense to solve problems and deliver accountabilities.
    • Ability to take decisive action and assume responsibility for making difficult decisions that affect people and business performance.
