Job Description

FIS Asset Arena 360 is currently looking a Junior Automation Engineer, to join the development team in Cape Town.

Position Responsibilities:

•  Implement the Whole Team Test Approach to Agile development
•  Assist the team in identifying test cases in all 4 quadrants as described in the Agile Testing quadrants
•  Identify all test cases to support development of new features prior to development starting
•  Participate in all phases of test execution and documentation including functional, regression, usability, integration and user acceptance testing
•  Develop and refine full functional test plans and test case templates, test strategy and estimate workload requirements
•  Develop and execute Quality Assurance test plans and test cases to thoroughly test the business applications based on the clients’ requirements and the development release documents
•  Work closely with all other technical teams to ensure effective cross-team coordination during the testing process
•  Participate in Grooming sessions with Product Owners and Developers to ensure a common understanding on what is required is developed
•  Identify, log, report and track defects found in the release. Prepare clear and concise written reports on defects found during QA process
•  Communicate test plan status to the QA Manager and Project Manager to promote effective critical path decisions for the release
•  Automate test cases identified so they can be added to the regression pack
•  Assist the team with functional expertise and guidance on automation coverage along the critical application path per feature
•  Primarily focused on developing an automated test suite to be executed daily against the latest build of the application. These will include Unit, API and GUI tests
•  Automate and execute test scenarios within the Sprint
•  Automation will be done using an in-house tool developed in Java and collaboration with teams across multiple regions will be required

Position Requirements:

•  Familiarity with Unit, API, GUI automation and Agile Testing/Whole Team Test Approach
•  Experience in a Development or QA environment required with the ability to demonstrate proficiency in Java (Would be beneficial but is not required)
•  Accurate communication of status and issues is critical to the overall success of this position
•  Strong trouble shooting skills, root cause analysis and attention to detail are all essential requirements for this position
•  Self-motivated, strong initiative, flexible and excellent time management skills
•  Enthusiastic, team-building attitude and able to work with little guidance
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•  Knowledgeable and experience working with Quality Assurance methodologies in particular Agile SCRUM is beneficial

Job Description

• The Business Analyst is the link between the Business and the R&D team and will manage all functional needs from writing functional specifications and designing solutions.
• The Business Analyst will work in our agile development environment and work iteratively with developers and quality assurance. As such, a firm grounding in the software delivery is required.
• The Business Analyst will work closely with our implementation team to ensure new business requirements are captured accurately and are prioritised.
• This role is multifaceted and requires a candidate with excellent asset management and product delivery knowledge complemented by good technical understanding.

Position Requirements:

•  Front, middle and back office systems experience from either an end user perspective or as a software provider
•  Have experience in analysis and writing functional specifications for financial market products
•  Will be well organized and understand the product development process
•  Strong expertise with exchange traded products
•  An effective team player who can work with colleagues and associates daily in various global locations

Job Description

FIS Asset Arena 360 is currently looking for an experienced Java Developer to join the team in Cape Town, the Software Engineer will work on several aspects of the software development life-cycle including; software design, development and application testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write software to implement technical requirements (backbone) & functional features
• Follow other senior developers (best practices, delivery, integration, unit testing..)
• Work with the QA Team to assist them in developing integration and functional tests

Level 3 support:

Analysis of software defects and feedback to Professional Services team

The technology stack will include:

• Java8, Swing, JavaFX, JUnit
• Windows, Eclipse IDE
• JBoss, Tomcat
• Spring, Hibernate
• MySQL
• Maven, SVN, JIRA, Crucible, Bamboo, Sonar

Person Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years Java experience and at Intermediate to Senior level

We are looking for candidates who have previously worked on financial systems – however, this is not a mandatory requirement and we will consider other enterprise software environments
