    Finance and Operations Manager

The inbound marketing strategists leverage a variety of tools and advanced software to drive this value to clients.

    Role Description

    Looking for someone to run the day-to-day operations and financial administration of the organisation and ensure that the company is more productive by providing effective methods in its business operations. Working with the rest of the leadership team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures. This person needs a strong understanding of and previous experience in process mapping and implementation of processes.

    Salary

    R30,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)

    Responsibilities

    • Improving the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organisation’s mission
    • Contributing to short and long-term organisational planning and strategy
    • Implementing and documenting financial procedures and policies to ensure the smooth and efficient interaction between the business and finance
    • Preparing and processing rate cards and quotations to support sales
    • Coordinating and liaising with all financial suppliers with regards to budget control (revenue, cost of sales and operating expenses) as well as bookkeeping and related administrative functions including invoicing, payments, statements etc.
    • Ensuring relevant third-party purchase orders are raised and associated invoices are matched
    • Assistance with scheduling payment of the same
    • Ensuring insurance schedule is accurate and claims are managed where necessary
    • Office Management and Office Infrastructure
    • Controlling physical assets and ensuring accurate and complete recording thereof in the company’s fixed asset register
    • Controlling software access rights
    • Ensuring that the company purchases products and services at the best price relative to the service level required by the business and its customers
    • Managing office supplies and stationery
    • Managing updates to calendars for scheduled operational and delivery meetings
    • Compiling and submitting relevant weekly, monthly reports as required by the EXCO
    • Assisting with ongoing financial project planning, analysing resources and hours spent, margins and profitability on relevant client jobs
    • Management of suppliers
    • Up-skilling staff on project and operations processes
    • Recommending and implementing process measures and improvements to continually drive efficiency
    • General day to day support to the commercial director and other senior management team members

    Requirements

    • Relevant B. Com Degree (or equivalent financial diploma)
    • 4-5 years’ experience
    • Excellent administrative skills
    • Proficiency in Excel and G-Suite.
    • Effective communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate requests and instructions to individuals and groups
    • Commitment to, and enthusiasm for, client service and delivery
    • Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing work requirements and varying volumes of work
    • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within the team and the organisation
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, manage and meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work

    Digital Marketing Analyst

    Role Description

    Looking for a Digital Marketing Analyst to work within the Digital Marketing Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a portfolio of clients to assist in: creating a deep understanding of the impact and incrementally of our digital marketing efforts on the growth of the business; defining and implementing measurement strategies that align with client marketing and business objectives; producing meaningful marketing KPI dashboards and delivering daily, weekly and monthly, cross-channel performance reports with actionable insight. The role will also involve conducting conversion optimisation consultancies, with the aim of improving efficiency in the digital marketing strategies and increasing ROI.

    Responsibilities

    • Measure and analyse marketing campaigns to understand how marketing channels can better drive, conversion, ROAS as well as customer lifetime value
    • Utilise analyses to inform and influence the Digital Marketing Team’s performance
    • Forecasting all Digital Marketing KPIs for budget and planning purposes
    • Development of automated reporting and measurements for Digital Marketing channels, capturing the full spectrum of the customer journey from impression to engagement and conversion
    • Developing and improving daily, weekly & monthly forecasting and reporting models
    • Partner with the Digital Marketing Team to identify priority analyses to improve results of future marketing campaigns.
    • Advise on how to leverage marketing channels to meet growth targets and Marketing performance objectives
    • Utilise analytics expertise to perform in-depth database analysis to better understand customer behaviour through segmentation and predictive modelling in order to provide a more customercentric experience
    • Support brand growth and new customer acquisition strategy by leveraging both external and internal information on the market and our customer base (potential and existing) to inform marketing decisions around media channels, offers, messaging, product selection etc.
    • Analysis of external market research to obtain insights into key target markets – both potential and existing customer needs, perceptions, motivations, expectations, shopping behaviour, budgets and lifestyles
    • Effective competitor analysis – including key product category analysis
    • Application of strong commercial insight, understanding and acumen in order to interpret, simulate and model customer behaviour
    • Contribute to the development of the marketing analytics capability with a focus on finding creative solutions to analysis, reporting and measurement, including tool customisation
    • Provide in-depth analysis and insights to help Marketing Teams understand growth drivers, and collaborate to ensure ongoing data-driven optimisation of initiatives
    • Turn business questions into functional analysis – understand the business as well as the data behind the analysis
    • Provide ongoing optimisation, growth opportunities, lost-opportunity analysis that the marketing teams can act on to improve metrics and increase performance
    • Work effectively cross departmentally 
    • Continuously identify new ways of how customer information can enhance business decisions
    • Marketing data owner (custodian of marketing information and external data required for analysis)
    • Develop metrics and strategies to test and enhance performance
    • Participating in special projects as needed to provide analytical and decision support on new initiatives
    • Follow industry and emerging best practices in shaping the digital marketing analytics capability including a focus on data organisation, data quality, documentation, and ongoing process improvement
    • Standardised processes, tools and templates to manage the business
    • Supporting the business with insights based on available data on an ad hoc basis
    • Knowledge sharing within the broader Marketing team

    Requirements

    • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Advanced user of Google Analytics and Data Studio, knowledge in Google Tag Manager and expertise in Google Search Console and Google Ads (certification advantageous)
    • Advanced in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, SQL, Qlikview and database extraction
    • Financial Services or Retail experience beneficial
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Computer Science or similar
    • Self-guided learner, self-starter and curious and passionate about data. You immerse yourself in it and are excited to develop and enhance your marketing analytics skills
    • Deep experience with data mining, data analytics, predictive modelling, and advanced modelling techniques
    • Familiarity with the broader digital marketing context including attribution modelling
    • Strong problem solving, prioritisation skills
    • Ability to work at appropriate levels of detail across operational, tactical and strategic issues
    • Ability to identify and diagnose data inconsistencies and errors
    • Understanding of digital marketing landscape and experience with advertising technology and related measurement (e.g. cookies, device ids, API cost measurement, etc.)
    • Attention to detail in a high-pressure environment
    • Storytelling skills - ability to weave a coherent, compelling narrative around the available data
    • An interest in exploiting technology to automate and scale key processes
