    Stock Keeper - Hopefield/West Coast One Wind Farms

    Responsibilities:

    •  Maintain proper stock controls by performing manual and clerical tasks involved in receiving, preparation. and stocking, issuing, shipping, physical inventory, disposition, control and protection of company property.
    •  Support and suggest any remedial action required to prevent or resolve discrepancies.
    •  Operate electric powered and manual lift trucks.  Perform tasks involved in controlling (maintaining, updating, sorting, filing, recording and issuing) various SAP or company documents.
    •  Support at the other Warehouses with same tasks where needed at MEA region

    Qualifications:

    •  0.5-1 year of experience in general warehousing / distribution centers / or production environments.
    •  Working knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices and procedures.
    •  SAP or other Warehouse Management Systems experience.  Good level of written and spoken English
    •  Able to follow established written and verbal instructions.
    •  Ability to follow company safety policies and procedures.
    •  Demonstrated computer literacy.
    •  Able to operate or learn to operate forklift. Relevant Certifications are preferred but not required.

    Competencies:

    •  Body positioning: Able to climb stairs or ladders, Requires full/part time standing, Able to Lift/push/pull/carry weight according to Manual Handling Guidelines and recommended safety weight limits
    •  Work content: Able to use/hold/manipulate small tools and parts with hands. Simple grasping, power grasping and fine manipulation is required. Able to use inspection tools and perform torqueing operations.
    •  Vision/Hearing: High level Hand/Eye coordination required. Eye protection required in many instances.  Environmental:. Capable of using personal protective equipment including hearing protection if required.

    Construction Bid Manager - Johannesburg

    Job Summary

    Construction Bid Management is, within Construction Department, responsible to ensure effective construction bids in alignment with customers' expectations/tenders specifications.

    Reporting to the Regional Construction Bid Manager, the Bid Specialist is an integral part of the Bid Management team that will work in collaboration with Construction team and Vestas functions to ensure alignment between the bids/tenders, the clients' expectations and Vestas targets for all projects/contracts performed in South Africa and in the overall region.

     Responsibilities:

    •  Execute Construction bid response and take lead on construction scope in contract negotiation;
    •  Assess construction scope and prepare tactical plan through internal project management in Operations with relevant functional areas for proposal engage with customers to optimize construction proposal and provide clarification;
    •  Budgeting and planning projects in collaboration with Construction sub departments (Project Management, Planning, Installation, BOP) and with other Vestas functions (Sales, Procurement, Transport, Technology...) ensuring competitive cost alignment within the project strategy and business constraints;
    •  Ensure approved construction budget (OPEC) and project programme to be included with proposal;
    •  Maintain overview of major construction risks during sales phase. Implement lessons learned from previous projects;
    •  Reporting, analysis and evaluation of post & precalc results to optimize cost and profitability of Vestas projects;
    •  Contract Execution Package (CEP) approval in collaboration with Sales Management and supporting the Regional Head of Construction within the CEP approval process;
    •  Support business improvement initiatives to ensure comprehensive & value added solutions
    •  Development, participation in the development of new construction processes: boosting plans, platform creation etc...in order to find adequate opportunities for Vestas and Vestas' customers.

    Qualifications:

    •  Technical degree in Engineering, construction, logistics or similar
    •  Relevant Project Management related certification (PMP or other similar).
    •  Minimum 3 to 5 year experience in Project Management in the energy sector, renewables preferred.
    •  Commercial acumen and experience in working with bids and Contract negotiations
    •  Fluent in English and second European language will be ranked (French, Portuguese, Spanish).
    •  MS Excel, DDBB, Power BI computer skills

    Service Contract Engineer - Port Elizabeth,

    Job Summary
    Contract Management department is a part of our Service Unit and is responsible for servicing all aftermarket customers with spare parts and services of the wind turbines as well as handling the service contracts in place. The service business is a key growth area of Vestas and has exciting targets to be achieved.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers; leverages relationship to ensure renewals of Service contracts
    •  Define common strategy in customer relationship management (together with Area Supervisor)
    •  Develop new business opportunities (value added services) and actively pursues recapture opportunities for lost accounts
    •  Prepare Time & Material quotations and ensure backlog increase with this type of sale
    •  Assist the commercial department in the negotiation of new Service Contracts, amendments and service quotations (from the beginning of the process)
    •  Assist with answering contractual questions from Customers, Sales Department and Area Supervisors
    •  Deal with technical open cases resolution process (Proactive communication, regular meetings, close collaboration with Product Support Dpt., etc.)
    •  Control project Bonus and Penalties (incentive; variable price)
    •  Prepare the Monthly Windfarms Reports for the customer and upload them to the customer portal
    •  Invoice all customers and ensure updated billing plan in the ERP system

    Qualifications:

    •  Engineer or Business Administration graduate
    •  Contract management
    •  Language skills: English fluent
    •  Electrical, Renewables, mechanical knowledge will be considered
    •  Wind turbine, Energy or Aircraft industry experience will be considered

    Job Summary:

    Vestas MED Warehouses provides spares and tools for the installation and servicing of Vestas wind turbines and are at the forefront in securing Vestas as the world leader in wind energy. The Material Handler primary focus will be the safe and flawless operations of the warehouse and will be responsible for warehousing, performing shipping and receiving tasks, using a forklift, and other industrial machinery, picking and packing tools, parts and assemblies, performing inventory counts, maintaining high safety standards, and utilizing SAP for data entry.
