    Procurement Controller

    Purpose:

    Responsible for ensuring that orders are placed, and goods received, as directed. This involves preparation of proforma orders and placement of orders with suppliers.

     Main Accountabilities: 

    • Prepare proforma orders and costings as advised by planner
    • Place approved orders with supplier, ensure all necessary paperwork received and processed as per company requirement (ensures all suppliers are certified and have signed contracts)
    • Ensures Master Data accuracy w.r.t suppliers; contract and item data
    • Stipulate and manage any specific order requirements as instructed by the buyer and/or planner
    • Liaise with suppliers re: sample requirements, and manage accordingly
    • Track orders with suppliers weekly to ensure that production on schedule as per order
    • Communicate effectively w.r.t delivery dates especially when there are delays (to planners)
    • Be aware of any changes re. pricing, costing, delivery dates and report to planner accordingly
    • Establish and maintain good supplier relationships, keeping them informed of supplier policy and any changes thereto
    • Handle damages and credit requests with supplier and notify accounts of pending credits/payments
    • Price label/barcode management – processing on Syspro, management with suppliers
    • Updating of shipment statuses on Syspro

     Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant administrative experience gained over 5 years
    • Purchasing /stock systems experience
    • MS Office competency (especially Excel)
    • Good organizational ability & strong numeracy skills
    • Experience with Syspro advantageous
    • Knowledge of import/export procedures advantageous

    Export Shipping Coordinator

    Main Accountabilities:

    Retail:

    • Establish the optimal shipping terms in accordance with Weylandts policy.
    • Complete the customer’s appointed agents shipping instruction where Weylandts is the exporter of record.
    • Advise retail on the documentation fees required to be recovered from the client.
    • Clear communication that is to be developed for retail on obligations of Weylandts in relation to ex Works Shipments, such that retail can manage engagements with customers and their agents if required.
    • Prepare and submit the commercial invoices to support exports.
    • Prepare the export document pack that is required to be submitted to the shipping agent. This document pack needs to be tailored per shipment.
    • In instances where there is a cost implication that arises from shipping, update retail to communicate to their clients for approval before cost is incurred.

    Planning and Buying:

    • Engage with Purchasing Coordinators & Buying Assistants to assist with documentation when required. This could include documents such as: Certificates of origin / compliance reports.

    Finance:

    • Any Review or Risk related assessment to be presented to CFO and or CEO in terms of special projects.
    • Request and facilitate any payment instructions in relation to shipping costs or transport costs.

    Distribution Centre:

    • Send commercial invoices to Export Supervisor and then assist in the alignment of the packing list to the commercial invoice.
    • Include the completed packing list and QC imagery in the client documentation pack.

    Imports:

    • The major elements of the import function are administered through our current Freight Forwarder.
    • Ad-hoc non-traditional retail stock imports where assistance will be required to ensure a smooth import.

    Technical Experience:

    • A recognized Import/Export diploma (or recognized Institute course)
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in importing/ exporting both to Africa and internationally.
    • Excellent PC skills (MS Office, especially Excel plus ERP System experience – Syspro would be advantageous)
    • Operational / supply chain experience in retail advantageous


    Personal Skills and Attributes:

    • This department requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to plan and co-ordinate between multiple parties.
    • Able to work independently yet be a team player.

    Senior Sales Consultant - Mbombela

    Job Purpose:

    • This position is responsible for providing an excellent service tall Weylandts clients. You will be required tuse excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills tgrow your sales pipeline.

    Main Accountabilities:
    Financial Management

    • Consistently meet and exceed monthly and YTD –
    • Cash Collected (Net of VAT), and
    • Discount Target
    • Drive new sales opportunities through a variety of innovative methods

    Customer/ Brand Management 360°

    • Drive exceptional customer service with full accountability for customer engagement and communication
    • Assist clients and ensure that their needs are identified and met
    • Act as the single point of contact for the client
    • Ensure that care instructions are explained
    • Maintain general housekeeping and ensure that all items are priced and displayed correctly
    • Ensure training compliance in line with company policy

    Operational Management

    • Ensure that processes detailed below are executed efficiently and as per company policy
    • Sales Orders
    • Account Management
    • SR Management / Resolution
    • Stock take
    • StudiReferral
    • Decorator / Partner Program

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12/ Matric
    • Relevant diploma/ degree advantageous e.g. Interior Design

    Experience And Skills:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience
    • Previous experience in consumer-centric environment
    • Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills
    • Comfortable working with different systems and technology, including POS and stock management systems
    • Must be available twork retail hours including weekends and public holidays
    • Passionate about décor and Weylandts furniture and homeware products.
    • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle essential

    Visual Merchandiser - Mbombela

    Job Purpose:
    The main responsibility of this position is to ensure that the Weylandts shopping experience is further enhanced by maintaining an organized, visually appealing and welcoming store environment.

    You will report to the Retail Manager, whilst getting direction from the Head office Visual Merchandising team.

    Main Accountabilities:

    • Consistently achieve the ongoing installation and dressing of the required merchandising plan within the prescribed time frame which will involve working with the basement team and will include some lifting, carrying etc.
    • Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in store, working with Retail Manager and other store employees. Doing floor walks 3 times a day.
    • Merchandising monthly campaigns according to the company’s design directives.
    • Ensure a high standard of visual merchandising in line with the company’s vision and brand identity in the respective store.
    • Ensure aggressive replenishment of homeware/ furniture.
    • Ensure required photos of shelving/settings are sent timeously and without exception to the merchandising department.
    • Ensure ongoing maintaining/updating of the furniture display settings and homeware shelving/tables as per last floor/setting changes and/or directives from Head office. This requires regular communication with the Head Office VM team.
    • Assist customers and maintain a professional approach, selling when required.
    • Work as a member of the store, assisting colleagues as required.
    • Ordering the correct flowers and plants for the store timeously, and within the set budget.
    • Assist with stock take if required.
    • Be aware of new product arrivals and lines to be discontinued and plan for this in advance with Head office. Maintain superior product knowledge.
    • Assist with receiving, unpacking and checking in of stock if and when required.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma/ degree in Interior decorating field preferred
    • Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role and environment/brand
