    Marketer (Timber)

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Identify Market needs for Timber (Mining Timber, Pulpwood and Saw timber)
    • Research, study and asses current market
    • Analyze competitors’ products and market
    • Create appropriate marketing strategies for timber
    • Coordinate with internal marketing, sales and accounts receivable department
    • Provide appropriate consultancy services to customers to enhance timber sales
    • Find prospective customers/clients and new target segment 
    • Process customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring the clients approval
    • Up-sell and cross-sell timber products or services to existing customers which will also include TWK operations in ESwatini and their relevant markets
    • Contact prospective customers and provide them with information on the company and the timber products/services provided
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties
    • Assist with client queries and problems
    • Liase with all markets to ensure orders and quality is acceptable
    • Liase with all Timber mills to ensure raw material production requirements is available 
    • Ensure monthly and quarterly forecasts for timber mills is provided 
    • Liase with and arrange transport for timber products to markets
    • Fire duty during fire season
    • Be prepared work after hours if and when necessary

    Qualifications and Skills

    • National Diploma in Forestry
    • Minimum of 5 years’ forestry experience
    • Computer literate in Word and Excel
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Valid Passport
    • Be prepared to work outdoors most of the day
    • Speak English and Afrikaans fluently
    • Excellent Interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Customer Service Experience

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Developing a deep understanding of various fertilizer products, their compositions, benefits, and application methods
    • Utilizing fertilizer expertise to recommend suitable products and application strategies that align with the customer’s agricultural goals
    • Coordinating fertilizer orders, ensuring accurate quantities and delivery schedules are met
    • Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
    • Maintaining positive business relationships to future sales
    • Developing cost estimates and proposals for fertilizer programs tailored to customers crop needs and budgets
    • Basic fertilizer programs (Wheat, Canola, Barley, Oats, Lupins, Luzern and Cover crops)

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Relevant Tertiary qualification (sales, management, agriculture)
    • 5 years’ experience in the fertilizer industry
    • BASOS certificate (advantageous)

    Industrial Relations Officer

    Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Advice operations/managers on IR issues
    • Facilitate, develop and conduct IR training and other IR processes, such as Conflict Management
    • Apply discipline as per the requirements of the company Disciplinary Code and procedures
    • Maintain all disciplinary reports
    • Assist managers in the application of the company’s disciplinary and grievance procedures
    • Facilitating incapacity procedures

    Disabled Learnership

    TWK Agri with its head office in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga is building its database for potential Learnerships for people with disabilities.

    These prospective Learnerships will be aimed to offer unemployed disabled individuals an opportunity to acquire practical work experience while completing a relevant qualification. The programme will consist of a 12-month contract starting mid-2024 and candidates will be hosted in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.
