    • Customer Administration: Keep a vigilant watch over credit limits, offering guidance to customers. Create rapport while distributing statements, urging timely interim payments. Be the beacon of insight on transactions exceeding 60 days.
    • Claim Processing: Navigate pricing claims with savvy, initiating the document dance. Be the resolver of stock claims, managing returns, damage, and more. Champion the truth by submitting proof to combat invalid claims.

    Process Engineer - Malelane

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Sugar Business Unit. The role will be based at our Malelane Mill.

    RCL Foods entrusts the Process Engineer to:

    • Manage projects, especially new technologies and their potential application at the Mill.
    • Provide CAPEX motivations, cost estimation, feasibility studies, Post Capex Project reviews, etc.
    • Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to improve boiling house operational efficiencies and recoveries.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Tech/BSc Chemical Engineering and Ten-week Sugar Manufacturing Course / Diploma.
    • At least 3 years Sugar Manufacturing experience as an Assistant Production Manager or Process Engineer responsible for Raw-house and/or Refinery
    • Candidates should have intermediate MS Office skills.
    • The ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy is critical to this position.
    • Self-starting, action-orientated individuals with well-developed communication skills should apply.
    • To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Manage projects, especially new technologies and their potential application at the Mill.
    • Provide CAPEX motivations, cost estimation, feasibility studies, Post Capex Project reviews, etc.
    • Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to improve boiling house operational efficiencies and recoveries.
    • Conduct internal benchmarking exercises to identify production best practices and improvement opportunities.
    • Conducting debottlenecking studies, including updating of Speed Profiles, to identify areas of improvement.
    • Lost Opportunity (LOP) analysis to identify areas leading to opportunity losses and liaising with other engineers and/or stakeholders to drive corrective actions.
    • Identify and monitor KPIs to track performance and flag any issues.
    • Conducting and participate in Root Cause Investigations.
    • Commissioning of process units, including providing operator training on new equipment and/or technologies.
    • Address technical process audit findings.
    • Provide technical expertise on complex production issues, support, and advice on solutions.
    • Development of work instructions and standard operating procedures.
    • Support the process team in developing the necessary skills and experience to meet current and future needs, including the coordination and management of Malelane Mill Operator training program and liaising with Learning and Development in identifying skills gaps and skills capacity planning.

    Production Superintendent - Molatek Malelane

    Job Description    

    • At RCL FOODS we grow what matters!!! Our Talent Team is looking for someone who is self-driven to fill the role of Production Superintendent  with great adaptable skills to join our Sugar Division. 

    The role will  be based in Molatek.

    • The primary objective is to co-ordinate the molasses and bagasse operation at Malelane and Komati by supplying sufficient molasses and bagasse to the production plants. The production superintendent is responsible for stockpiling molasses and bagasse for the off-crop period and is also responsible for the bagasse meal plant and operation at Komati mill.
    • The person is also responsible for the drying plants to supply quality dried bagasse and Molasses to the manufacturing facility.
    • The person will also act as the fire co-ordinator and be responsible for the fire-team and fire practices.
    • The production superintendent will also be responsible for the Front-end loaders and forklifts and will ensure that the plant’s “yellow equipment” is in and good working order.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Business Management, Production or Operations Management, Supply Chain & Logistics, Accounting, Engineering, or relevant qualification.
    • Knowledge in the Animal Feed Production.
    • Supervisory course will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Production/ Operations environment.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high pressure and labour-intensive environment.
    • Exposure to Food Quality & Safety, Planning, Industrial Engineering, Packing & Operations.
    • To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African Citizen.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Arrange and Co-ordinate Molasses and bagasse stock takes.
    • Communicate daily with the Shift Controllers and Production Manager related to operational requirements.
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes, capture counted quantities on SAP and do the necessary adjustments.
    • Create production orders on SAP according to the weekly production planning (Bagasse meal plant).
    • Reconciliation of molasses between scale readings and the molasses movement quantities captured in SAP.
    • Ensure that all activities performed are compliant with the Company SHEQ standards and legislation.
    • Management of staff (recruitment, training, and discipline)
    • Time management (absences, leave, overtime, etc.)
    • Report and investigate all accidents and incidents and implement preventative measures.
    • Provide and maintain a safe and healthy working
    • SAP planned schedules - inspections on fire equipment.
    • Ensure to stockpile bagasse and compact the bagasse for the off-crop season.
    • Ensure to store molasses according to plan for the off-crop season.
    • Responsible to supply bagasse and molasses that conform to standard to the production plants.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric / Grade 12 
    • Diploma in Health & Safety/Safety Management or studying towards one. 
    • SAMTRAC (advantageous).

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Providing technical support in the improvement, maintenance, and monitoring of existing management systems and standard operating procedures (ISO45001 Management System).
    • Ensure adherence to all company HSE processes and procedures.
    • Conducting and compiling routine safety compliance, inspections, and audits against authorizations, guidelines, and legislations, and creating action plans for addressing areas of non-compliance.
    • Conduct Pro-active planned and unplanned safety inspection and produce reports.
    • Ensuring Fire extinguishers and first aid boxes are compliant (Serviced and not blocked).
    • Conduct and review risk assessments.
    • Actively compiling information for weekly, monthly, and various reports submissions.
    • Schedule and Conduct emergency response drills.

    • Ensure that noticeboards display important HSE information.
