    Snr Specialist: SQL Database Administrator

    Purpose

    As a Snr Specialist: IT Systems Support SQL Database administrator you will scrutinise information using data analysis tools.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Organize, manage data and keeping databases up to date.
    • Troubleshooting SQL server, SSIS and SSRS and supporting applications.
    • Ensuring application stability and availability through defined SLAs.
    • Helping with database design and development.
    • Managing database access.
    • Designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation.
    • Liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, it project managers and other technical staff.
    • Managing database security/integrity and backup & restore standards and procedures.
    • Implementing and maintaining security measures.

    Additional Key Responsibilities

    • Defining objectives through consultation with staff at all levels.
    • Writing reports, documentation and operating manuals.
    • Testing and modifying databases to ensure that they operate reliably.
    • Providing user training, support and feedback.
    • Writing disaster recovery plans.
    • Archiving of data according to business requirements.
    • Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
    • Ensure proper controls are in place to meet Audit requirements.
    • Maintain ongoing monitoring on all SQL environments to optimize for best performance.

    Minimum Experience

    • 3 - 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 -2 years at a junior specialist level
    • Cloud : Knowledge and experience with Azure SQL and/or setting up and configuring SQL clusters on AWS through RDS or similar.
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Microsoft SSRS.
    • Excellent understanding of how to install and configure SQL applications to best practices and standards.
    • In-depth knowledge of Always-On Availability (AAG) , setup and configurations.
    • High-Availability understanding, configuration and implementation.
    • Excellent knowledge of CDC and log harvesting to support data replication tools.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Information Technology and Computer Sciences.
    • Skilled in Agile methodology, Preferred - SAFe for Teams (SFT)Preferred - AWS/ MS Azure Foundation.

    Solution Architect (Security) - JHB

    Purpose

    The primary objective of this role is to create an Enterprise Security Architecture which ensures that the Business Strategy and the Security Strategy are aligned. The role will be focused on Information Security, Risk, Privacy and Business Continuity domains from an architectural perspective.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop an Enterprise Security Architecture for Liberty and/or a multifunctional shared services organisation.
    • Produce Enterprise Security Architecture Recommendations to align with the security industry and/or organisational best practice.
    • Ensure the alignment of the security architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
    • Apply a structured security architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the business unit in the context of the enterprise.
    • Capture and maintain the tactical and strategic security goals that provide traceability through the organisation and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.

    Additional Key Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership in the comprehensive planning, development and execution of the organisation's Security strategy and execution.
    • Analyse enterprise business context (trends and business strategy), as well as change requirements in other enterprise architecture viewpoints. This includes defining the requirements and models that guide decisions for the enterprise.
    • Ensure that the security architecture domain has a well-documented reference model that is measurable (based on maturity) and communicated.
    • Provide input into the design of services, products and/or solutions lifecycle relevant to the organisation.
    • Provide proactive, ongoing support to cross-functional teams and team members in order to support a mature working environment.
    • Develop and maintain relationships within relevant business units.

    Minimum Experience

    • Experience with Security in the SDLC.
    • Minimum 3 years experience in the field of Security Architecture.
    • Minimum 7 years experience in the Security Sphere.
    • Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture role.
    • Expertise with personal computers in a secure network environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint) or similar software.
    • Experience in Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Salesforce) - Similar platforms.
    • Business analysis experience advantageous.
    • Systems analysis experience advantageous.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Information Technology and Computer Sciences.
    • CISSP and/or CSSLP.
    • TOGAF Certification advantageous.

    Data Governance Specialist - JHB

    Purpose

    As a Data Governance Specialist your primary responsibility is to provide advice and support in area of specialisation and enable the design, creation, development, and documentation of data governance requirements according to set parameters.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work to establish the data governance strategy within the lines of business.
    • Develop and document governance policies, practices, and standards.
    • Coordinate, implement and execute data governance and data quality strategy.
    • Define the enterprise data governance operating model, data policies and standards as well as the implementation of clear data management definitions for use across the organization.
    • Provide guidance and recommendations for process improvement and data quality enhancement.

    Additional Key Responsibilities

    • Work with the Data Owners to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities, providing advisory guidance and support to ensure Data Governance accountabilities are understood.
    • Lead the integration and enterprise-wide use of Data Governance & Data Quality tools
    • Set up and enhance Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks, standards, policies, artifacts, and processes to be leveraged by business units locally and regionally.
    • Design and implement robust error and exception handling procedures.
    • Implement and support the strategic direction for how the organization uses data internally and externally.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices and ensure knowledge sharing occurs with the Enterprise team and LOB stakeholders.

    Minimum Experience

    • 3 - 5 years' experience in Data Governance, of which 1 -2 years at a junior specialist level.
    • Working experience in Data Maturity, Data Loss Prevention, Cloud Data Governance, Data Privacy, drafting and reviewing Data policies, standards etc.
    • Experience working in medium to large scale organizations.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Information Technology and Computer Sciences.
    • Honours preferable.
    • Data Management Association (Certification).

    Specialist: Project Management - JHB

    Purpose

    To provide advice and support in project management and to develop, maintain and enhance operational business relationships, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed SOPs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Actively contribute to the effective delivery of project tasks according to allocated duties and project plan and escalate identified risks.
    • Provide business support through subject matter knowledge and work area experience to enhance operational service delivery and quality.
    • Gather information to inform reporting on relevant metrics and trends to inform pricing and other operational decisions and/or remedial actions.
    • Analyse operational records, trends and costs related to estimated and realised revenues to project future revenues and expenses.
    • Coordinate project planning activities through the preparation of resource scheduling, physical planning, monitoring and control of project design.

    • Collect information for project tracking and status reporting according to defined project reporting standards.

    • Proactively solves problems, determines root-cause and applies solutions in line with guidelines and providing the necessary information to solve problems related to area of specialisation.
    • Plan for own task execution and advises on improvements related to area of specialisation.

    Minimum Experience

    • 3 - 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 -2 years at a junior specialist level.
    • Exposure to Azure Microsoft Planner and Agile Methodology.

    Senior Specialist: Organisational Development

    Purpose

    To define, design, scope, implement and monitor business line-wide, fit-for-purpose OD solutions collaborating with relevant stakeholders to enable and support leaders at all levels to optimise leadership and team performance.

    Minimum Experience

    • 5 - 8 years experience in a similar environment, of which 2 - 3 years at specialist level

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Masters Degrees (coursework and research) [NQF Level 09] in Human Resources

    • Minimum requirement - Registered Industrial Psychologist

    Critical Job

    • 12 Months Contract
    • Deep knowledge of psychological safety and growth mindset theory and principles is required.

    • Accountable for the improvement of quality, service and work outputs, continuously recommending improvements.
    • Plan for the organisation of work outputs and process improvement activities in light of a specific situational context related to the area of specialisation.

    Customer

    • Provide sound consulting services and recommendations based on customer and client needs, current information and trends analyses.
    • Provide specialist expertise and advice to internal/external customers, that builds strong relationships and creates a favourable impression aligned to Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) principles.
    • Upskill People and Culture Community in Organisational Development practices
    • Support the BP's and line leaders with driving behaviour related BAU initiatives such as shifting mindsets and ways of working regarding e.g. performance management, 360 assessments,etc.
    • Support the business-line activation of Group and Business Unit initiatives.
    • Equip and engage leaders with OD tools and approaches
    • Engage and support senior leadership as well as People and Culture DE's and BP's.
