    Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Maintain central Cost Price of stock from branches
    • Monitoring of control accounts
    • Issuing of orders for company expenses
    • Monitor Fuel Reconciliations
    • Resolve outstanding admin reports from branches
    • General office duties

    Qualifications and Skills 

    • Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
    • Computer literate
    • Strong administrative skills
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Knowledge of Mechanisation will be an advantage
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience required

    Manager: Grain Trading - Piet Retief

    Job Summary

    • As the Manager of Grain Trading, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of grain trading operations by TWK within the region. You will lead a team of traders, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure efficient and profitable trading activities. This role requires a deep knowledge and understanding of the grain market, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to make informed trading decisions. Your primary goal will be to maximize profitability while adhering to industry regulations and maintaing strong business relationships.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Stragtegic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve grain trading objectives, considering market trends, competitior analysis and business goals
    • Trading Operations: Oversee day-to-day trading operations, including buying and selling of grain commodities, managing price risks, monitoring market conditions and executing trades efficiently
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of traders, providing guidance, training and performance feedback to ensure individual and team success. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture
    • Risk Management: Implement effective risk management strategies to minimize exposure to market fluctuations, including hedging, contract negotiations and market analysis
    • Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with local and global grain market trends, supply and demand dynamics, weather patterns and regulatory changes. Use this information to make informed decisions and develop trading strategies
    • Supplier and Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with grain suppliers and customers, negotiating favorable terms and contracts, resolving disputed and ensuring customer satisfaction
    • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, including licensing, trading standards and quality control. Stay informed about any changes in regulations and adjust trading practices accordingly
    • Financial Management: Monitor trading performance, analyze profitability and manage budgets effectively. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
    • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely reports on trading activities, financial performance, market trends and other relevant metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
    • Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry conferences, events and trade associations. Build a strong professional network and stay connected with industry experts.
    • Growth and Development: Focus on promoting innovation, fostering collaboration and ensuring ethical practices

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics or a related field
    • Extensive experience (typically 4+ years) in grain trading, preferably in the South African Market
    • Strong knowledge of grain commodities, market dynamics and trading strategies
    • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team
    • Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
    • Solid understanding of risk management and hedging strategies
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
    • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced trading environment
    • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements
    • Proficiency in using trading software, financial analysis tools and Microsoft Suite
    • APD - Agricultural products derivatice exam
    • RE5 certificate (advantageous)
    • Agris system experience or similar trading systems
