    Project Manager - Training - Jhb CBD

    Work Description

    • The Project Manager is responsible for providing clinical advice, tactical direction, and integration of WBPHCOT program with HIV and TB management to the HOD of Training. The position will assist the HOD of Training in developing, managing and implementing various Knowledge and Skill Acquisition Strategies for the Health Care Providers within the field of HIV and TB management.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Provide clinical guidance and tactical direction to HOD of Training on HIV/ TB clinical care and WBPHCOT Program
    • Assist with Curricula development and Resource Material within the field of HIV /TB management including WBPHCOT Program
    • Offer advice on clinical programs.
    • Assist with the implementation and adaptation of Training Strategies for Health Care Providers
    • Apply appropriate Adult Teaching Methodologies
    • Develop Quality Improvement Plans
    • Perform Clinical Audits
    • Contribute to development of Operational Plans

    Liaise with Internal and External Customers/Stakeholders

    Requirements
    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University in Nursing
    • Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)
    • Diploma in HIV Management and TB treatment and care
    • Certificate in Project Management
    • Diploma in Clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment

    Advantageous

    • Experience in QI Methodology
    • Extensive experience in WBPHCOT Program
    • Extensive experience in HIV/AIDS treatment and care
    • Extensive experience in TB treatment and care
    • Training Resource development

    Experience

    • At least 2 years’ experience in Project Management
    • At least 1-year experience in a WBPHCOT program
    • At least 1 year in Clinical Nurse Mentor
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in Training
    • NIMART, ACC, IMCI, QI, PMTCT, and PULSA – PLUS /PC 101/APC, M-Health trained.
    • A proven ability to be creative in Knowledge Transfer Methodologies to Peers and other cadre of Heath Care Workers

    Requirements

    • Proficient personal computer skills
    • SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
    • Driver’s license
    • Own car
    • Minimal/Moderate/Excessive overnight travel (up to 30%) by land or air if required.
    • Willing to work overtime.

    Pharmacist - Cape Town CBD

    Work Description

    • The Appointed pharmacists’ role is to provide overall coordination of the pharmaceutical services with a particular focus on TB and adjuvant medicines. The DP will work closely with the District Pharmacist and report directly to the Project/ Programme Manager at the District level. This position requires a good understanding of the medicine quantification, procurement, and supply chain management systems to ensure reliable procurement, storage, control, forecasting and distribution of quality medicines.is responsible for contributing to the smooth running and operations of the Pharmacy according to SAPC GPP and GCP Standards.

    Requirements

    Education

    • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree (B.Pharm)
    • Registration with SA Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist
    • Proof of current registration with SAPC

    Advantageous

    • GCP certificate
    • Postgraduate degree in Clinical Pharmacy
    • Relevant experience with SA DOH pharmacy systems.e.g. Synch
    • Fluent in English. Fluency in local languages

    Experience

    • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a pharmacist after registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
    • Relevant experience in hospital pharmacy, retail sector, and NGO environment
    • Management or supervisory experience
    • An Understanding of HIV/AIDS and TB

    Requirements

    • Willing to travel and do work after normal working hours.
    • Valid driver’s license and own car
    • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, and routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics.
    • Good writing and presentation skills
    • SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
    • Innovative thinking, problem solving, initiative, and leadership qualities
    • Ability to work with the multi-disciplinary team.
