    Benefits Processing Supervisor - Sandton

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Assist the Operations Manager - Administration in ensuring the timeous and accurate payment of benefits to members and pensioners and manage issues associated with fund administration. 

     

    • Maintain the statistical records of members and pensioners and prepare a submission to the EXCO meeting on a monthly basis.
    • Ensure that audit controls are in place and audit requests are closed timeously.
    • Oversee benefits administrators’ responsibilities including; 

    Minimum Requirements    
    TECHNICAL COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS  

     

    • Working knowledge of Pension Fund Rules
    • Basic knowledge of Income Tax Act, Divorce Act, Pension Funds Act, Child Care Act, Marriage Act, Recognition of Customary Marriage Act, Mental Health Act
    • Working knowledge of Benefit administration
    • Knowledge of Law - Section 37 (C) allocation of death benefit lump sums 

    REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING    

     

    • Relevant Bachelor Degree. Registered with professional bodies - where applicable.
    • Relevant Industry Diploma

    REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE 

    • At least 5 years job-related experience which should include at least 1 year’s experience in a supervisory role. 

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Oversee fund administration duties for administrators
    • Prepare up to date, accurate, monthly reports and statistics for the Benefits Processing Manager 
    •  Maintain the statistical records of members and pensioners and prepare a submission to the EXCO meeting on a monthly basis.
    • Ensure that audit controls are in place and audit requests are closed timeously.
    • Oversee benefits administrators’ responsibilities including; 
    • Perform quality assurance on claim forms and supporting documents received according to applicable work flow, rules and legislation to ensure claims are accurate and compliant.
    • Validate the exit claim form to the exit movement received 
    • Ensure accuracy of all claim documentation and member information 
    • Verify applicability of member options to Fund Rule and Legislative requirements. 
    • Validate manual tax directives for members with additional voluntary contributions.

    Project Management support

     

    • Participate in the Fund’s overall projects e.g., Defined Contribution Conversion, Business Process Re-engineering, amendment of the Fund’s Rules, contributing expertise to enable project objectives to be met.
    • Draft reports as part of the project deliverables. Project supported to ensure delivery within scope, budget and timeframe 
    • Provide support to the Benefits Processing Manager.
    • Keep abreast with changes in relevant guidelines and other legislation, to make recommendations where policies and procedures need to be amended.
    • Recommend processes and procedures that are relevant to the section and enhance service delivery.Regular support provided to Benefits Processing Manager in terms of maintenance of processes or policies updates

    Lease Manager - Johannesburg

    Job Advert Summary    

    • To agree terms and conditions of proposals to lease premises within specified parameters and conclude terms of standard lease agreements (both Master Lease Agreements and Site Schedules). To satisfy needs of client whilst not compromising company position. Tomanage and control all contracts and effectively manage the portfolio on a Regional Basis, the objective being the maximising of rental income. Take responsibility for data integrity (building and tenant). Handle audit queries. To control all aspects of Leases, i.e. Accounts and Financial. To manage the financial processes and reporting to clients. To establish and maintain effective support services for the property management functions of the portfolio.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Experience / Education / Knowledge:

     

    • Grade 12 or relevant qualification equal to NQF level 4
    • Additional Property related qualification of any NQF 5 or higher
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Property Management, Business or Accounting will be an advantage
    • At least 5 years relevant experience in Property Management/Administration, i.e. leasing administration, financial accounting and negotiation/communication skills, directly interfacing with clients and providing general administrative support services
    • Must hold a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate and satisfy the requirements as set out the by EEAB and current legislation for the position
    • Staff management experience
    • Knowledge of South Africa’s property industry, property markets and general administration/Accounting/Finance acumen. 
    • Knowledge of Asset Management and knowledge of the legal requirements of the essentials of a lease agreement
    • ERP Systems and Procedures, general business and property management acumen, house rules, service contractors, insurance policies and procedures

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Operational Deliverables:
    Will include, but not limited to:

     

    • Responsible for the leasing team and the leasing process from start to ensuring the leases are accurately prepared and signed off.
    • Ensure all lease renewals, reassessments, lease consolidations and terminationsare timeously attended to and professionally compiled.
    • Responsible for coordinating and providing assistance to the leasing team.
    • Responsible for producing accurate status reports.
    • Responsible for other leasing tasks or as directed from time to time – this to include strategic input into as required.
    • Maintain positive relationships with all tenants and Client Representatives.
    • Compile and distribute leasing report internally to portfolio management.
    • Manage and administer ad-hoc leases (monthly and lease based).
    • Custodian of Master Data for portfolio - maintain and administer.
    • Formulate leasing strategies.
    • Assist in compiling of annual budgets.
    • Custodian of tenant files, ensure up to date with relevant correspondence.
    • To offer support to other business units as and when required.
