    Supplier Quality Serial Life Engineer 1

    Purpose of the Job

    The purpose of the job is for the successful candidate to apply and deploy the Supplier Quality Assurance policy in accordance to Sourcing. Responsible for the management of NCR and Supplier performance for a precise scope of suppliers/project.

    Key responsibilities include the following:

    • Responsible for Non-conformity day-to day management, ensuring reactivity to inform supplier of NCR, to replace defective parts and to drive root cause analysis following quality tools /principles
    • Animate NCR treatment by setting-up relevant actions plan to reach Supplier NCR target
    • Invoice the cost of non-Quality (Conq S1) to the suppliers
    • Organize the supplier retrofit
    • Decide quality wall if necessary
    • Challenge our suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plan, challenge reactivity
    • Audit supplier process to check the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action plan and ensure control plan sustainability (regular follow-up on main suppliers)
    • Prepare and monitor supplier Quality review at unit level to shoot the Top issues (Quality Perfomance)

    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Diploma /BTech in Engineering/Quality or equivalent
    • National Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy will be advantageous
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Supplier Quality, Production or industrial Engineering
    • Good communication skills
    • Understanding of technical interdependencies
    • Knowledge of quality tools (problem solving tools, Quality Walls, 8D reports)

    Paint Operator Temporary

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To operate shot blasting and preparation equipment.
    • To prepare and apply paint & other industrial coatings to Car-bodies and manufactured items.
    • To perform self inspections before, during and after painting in accordance with the Instructions and standards

    Main Responsabilities

    • Be proactive in the EHS risk situation
    • To use the safety equipment and rules defined
    • Preparation of surfaces to be painted, Sanding - wet/dry rubbing, masking etc
    • Sand and/or shot and/or hydro and/or grit blasting of parts and assemblies in preparation for fabrication or painting.
    • Apply body filler, putty to repair dents and surface imperfections
    • Apply sealants and adhesives.
    • Apply primer/anticorrosive coatings manually with brushes and with spray guns.
    • Application of sound-deadening materials, antislip, bodyguard
    • Spraying of enamel and/or paint to bogie and/or underframe and/or pre-manufactured components under supervision
    • Manual and spray application of solvent and water borne topcoats (such as paint, lacquer, enamel, epoxy and 2K paints) onto manufactured products to provide finished surfaces. Use formulas given in instruction to mix the paint to be applied.
    • Apply final stopping/spot putty.
    • Touch up and blending of defective areas of painted items.
    • Mark up and demarcate lines,
    • Apply decals and stencils
    • Assembly/fit post paint fittings such as rivet nuts etc
    • Operate hand, power tools and machinery used in paint shop.
    • Operate spray paint equipment cup guns, pressure pots, airless and air assisted airless pumps.
    • Housekeeping duties
    • Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies, and procedures.

    Main Required Competences

    Educational Requirements
    Mandatory :

    • Grade 12 / N3

    Desirable:

    • Spray paint training

    Experience
    Mandatory:

    • At least 3 - 5 years relevant experience in the paint shop.
    • Spray paint using cup guns, pressure pots, airless pumps and air assisted airless equipment.
    • Experience in preparation, masking and sanding for paint.
    • Knowledge of painting processes

    Desirable:

    • Painting in railway industry
    • Knowledge of shot blasting is advantageous

    SPQD Engineer

    Purpose of the Job:

    • Deliver the project quality activities for purchased parts & ensure that suppliers’ product & process developments satisfy contract requirements.

    Key responsibilities include the following:

    • Monitor quality during the development phase of the supplier's product/process and ensure compliance with Alstom requirements
    • Deliver project quality activities for critical purchased parts for his/her commodity from the release of the first Supplier Part List till the obtention of a positive First Article Inspection (FAI* with Go status): define & deploy the Part Approval Process/Supplier Product Quality Development cycle, contribute to all DFQ* milestones for the purchased part (descending and mounting phases of the V-cycle).
    • Perform supplier quality risk assessments at Business award stage.
    • Ensure with the project team that Quality Alstom requirements are respected by the supplier before the “Go Order” milestone (Quality Specification and SPQD Plan clause by clause).
    • Is accountable for operational delivery of the validation of the industrial capability of the manufacturing process of the supplier (out of scope: validation of product under the responsibility of engineering + industrial capacity).
    • Is responsible of the Go/NoGo decision for “Go Production”, “Go for First Train Validation” and “FAI”, relying on inputs from Engineering for the product validation.
    • Prepare and perform customer FAI when requested.
    • Follow-up of the supplier deliverables through the dedicated portal: Supplier Quality Portal (SQP).
    • Follow-up of supplier action plans; Supplier Quality Status (SQS). Drive supplier to meet FAI Go On Time target.
    • Perform handover to Supplier Quality Serial Life (after FAI Go + first 3 successful deliveries)
    • Trigger the supplier escalation process when SPQD deliverables are at risks & animate problem solving.
    • Evaluate the maturity level of the supplier through the study of FMEA’s, control plan, skills matrix, work instructions, etc…
    • Deliver audits/assessments of suppliers in case they are not part of the Priority list when needed (when SPQD is recognized as a qualified auditor).
    • Contribute to the solving of critical non-conformities and issues with suppliers, including warranty issues when escalated. In charge of Non Conformity problem solving until FAI Go and handover performed.
    • In charge of preparing the first deliveries requirements for incoming inspection

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent.
    • Familiar with supplier qualifications standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.)
    • Must be able to read supplier contracts and technical drawings
    • Must be able to understand technical documentation of the scope
    • Competency to use computer applications
    • Min 5 years’ experience within manufacturing industry or in a Quality role or in a Project role
    • Experience managing supplier relationships
    • Experience using SAP or similar ERP system
    • Quality professional background with knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA, control plan, QRQC, 8D, Quality Wall, etc.).
